Bangladesh on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sudan to take lease of Sudanese farmland and grow crops aimed at ensuring food security of both the countries.
The MoU was signed between Bangladeshs agriculture ministry and Sudans agriculture and forest ministry during visit of a Bangladesh delegation to the North African country, says a press statement.
Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain led the delegation visiting Sudan from July 28 and is scheduled to return home on August 5.
