It's generally with all the media.
A killing of some guy in Chak 42 of Toba Tek Singh due to accidental fire or something gets headlines, somebody jumping off a bridge in Balochistan gets headlines, a PIA plane getting compressor stalls gets labelled as 'plane catching fire' and so on. The reports of poor people living in the slums (every country has poor people living in lowly conditions)
There's just a whole lot of negativity, why not the good news? I am not saying that we should bury our head under the sand like an Ostrich, but there should be a balance. When you see the 3 o clock headline news after a long day, you just want to bang your head on the wall, and when you see the 9 o clock bulletin at night before sleep, you get scary thoughts sometimes.
Why is it necessary to bring up a 'house's roof collapses in some district of Sindh, 3 die'? You could use some other story there, or just leave it empty.
As I said above, everything is not all milk and roses, but there should be a balance.
