Dalai Lama's visit has seriously damaged ties with India: China

Co-operation and Friendship is a two way street China!
Warning us of straining relations, while harming our interests in multilateral forums including supporting UN designated terrorists and not to mention arming our enemies to the teeth does not hold much water for us.

The damage is done and mostly by your actions.
So please go ahead and do what you can (or have already been doing), because I'm quite certain India has done its homework on the pros and cons of this move and clearly the cons here (warnings) don't exactly scare us.
Maybe you should realize that arm twisting for you is limited to your minions, the NKs and Paks of the world. India is above your influence.

China should support independence movements in bharat, start with declearing IOK as part of Pakistan officially..

As for bharatis saying Pakistani dont like bharati trade relation with China... May i ask from Where you got this expression?

Actually, China doesn't have the guts to do that.

.
Another half barrel threat from their famous ministry of warnings!!

I also wanted good relations with China. India for the past 1 year has been trying not to provacate China. Countless meetings have taken place on Masood Azhar. NSG, I can understand. Even CPEC, there could have been meaningful and diplomatic response. But there was none.

And now all this cue? Cry China. This is what you can do. The most you can do is banning trade which u wont do. Trying to help militants and you will know what will be our response.

Indians and Chinese have no issues on a People to people basis, let's be clear on that. The average Chinese person, just like the average Indian is loving and helpful and has no ill will towards the other.

The actions of the Chinese govt. on the other hand are hypocritical to the core!
On one hand, they expect the world to be sensitive to their "red lines",but are more than happy to cross those of other nations under the guise of national interest, pragmatism and "inclusive growth".
So maybe you as a Chinese citizen with little to no influence in selection of your leadership or defining nations policy should understand that there is a huge disconnect between what maybe your personal feelings towards an issue and how your govt. deals with it in an international stage.

India has no desire to create war! We have a million and one problems to deal with! But that does not mean that we are going to turn a blind eye to the actions of a "friend" that wreak of foe!

China as a capitalist country (do you think it strange?). Always carry out “Principle of economic supremacy”. So if make a choice between war and economy. Our 100% choice economy. In the dispute, we always adhere to the negotiations. For example,DECLARATION ON THE CONDUCT OF PARTIES IN THE SOUTH CHINA SEA. A very important clause is not to use force... Who do you think it limits?

Although we are the third largest arms exporter in the world, we really do not rely on export war to develop.

Im a Chinese little citizen, I love my country, like you love India, there is no reason. India can accept Chinese traitors, many years ago. and inheritance of British colonial expansion territory. Why China can not consider their own interests?

Finally, India is really "clean"?

The Dalai Lama is too political to be a saint. He makes political statements and therefore cant hide behind his robes.
Less political than Hafeez saeed.

China didnt care about India's interest in international forums then why does china expect India to care for its. China did not obey the UNCLOS ruling then why India should listen to their cry.
China didnt care about India;s demand of Hafees Saeed, then why should India listen to them?
China didnt care about India;s demand for Azad Kashmir-CPEC, then why should India listen to them?

China needs to mend its way of doing business with India as India has given lots of bargain to them initially. But not anymore. If they are not listening to us, we will play the deaf game too.

I would have, to an extent, understood chinese concern had they kept it to India harboring Dalai lama - which they see as a separatist. But talking about disputed territory is purely a slit-eyed vision. Not going to change a dime anything. Nowadays, everything on this earth is disputed territory for China. Poor whiners
They are introducing more bargain chips by adding more areas in their demands rather than settling the existing disputes. It is a slit-eyed vision and pure evil on part of china. They are trouble for whole neighbor hood.

Dalai Lama in Arunachal: China warns of ‘necessary measures’, lodges protest with Indian envoy

China warned on Wednesday that it will take “necessary measures” to defend its territorial sovereignty after India allowed the Dalai Lama to visit the “disputed” parts of Arunachal Pradesh, a move that Beijing said caused “serious damage” to the bilateral ties.

China also lodged a protest with India’s ambassador in Beijing, Vijay Gokhale, over the Dalai Lama’s visit.

India in disregard to China’s concerns obstinately arranged the Dalai Lama’s visit to the disputed part of the eastern part of China-India border, causing serious damage to China’s interests and China-India relations,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told reporters.

China firmly opposed this move, she asserted.

“China’s stand on the eastern part of the borders is consistent and clear. India is keenly aware of the role played by the 14th Dalai Lama.

“Arranging his visit to those sensitive and disputed areas not only runs counter to the Indian side’s commitment to the issues related to Tibet but also escalates disputes over the border area,” she said.

Hua said New Delhi’s stand was against the momentum of the sound growth of bilateral relations and will not benefit India in anyway.

“The visit will for sure trigger China’s dissatisfaction. This will not bring any benefit to India,” she said.

China will firmly take necessary measures to defend its territorial sovereignty and legitimate rights and interests, Hua asserted.

Asked what measures China would take, Hua did not elaborate.

“I don’t have much to add. I want to add the issues concerning Tibet has a bearing on China’s core interests. India in disregard of China’s concerns obstinately arranged the visit,” she said.

“We demand the Indian side immediately stop its actions using the Dalai Lama to undermine China’s interests and not hype up sensitive issues between the two countries, not artificially damage the foundation of the talks between the two countries on the border issues and bilateral legislations and take concrete actions to safeguard the China-India relations,” she said.

The 81-year-old Tibetan spiritual leader reached Bomdila in West Kameng district on Tuesday, starting his nine-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh.

China claims parts of Arunachal Pradesh as southern Tibet and had previously warned that if India allowed the visit of the Dalai Lama, whom it calls an “anti-China separatist”, it would cause “serious damage” to ties.

China is sensitive to the Dalai Lama’s visit to Tawang region in Arunachal which happens to be the birthplace in 1683 of the sixth Dalai Lama and is at the centre of Tibetan Buddhism.

“We hope we can work together to maintain growth of India China relations. We know India and China are two close neighbours and countries in Asia. Cooperation between us will serve interests of the region,” Hua said.

“We hope to maintain good momentum of growth but this move runs counter to this wish, so we hope India stop doing things that undermine our interests,” she said.

On Tuesday, junior home minister Kiren Rijiju said India never interfered in Beijing’s affairs, has respected the “One China” policy, and thus China should not interfere in India’s internal affairs or object to the Dalai Lama’s visit. “There is no political angle behind his holiness’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh. It is completely religious.”

Separately, the external affairs ministry has said that no “artificial controversy” should be created about the visit.

The Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson rejected Rijiju’s comments, saying “China upholds the policy of not interfering with other countries internal affairs. This is unquestionable.”

“But in disregard to China’s concerns India arranged the visit of Dalai Lama to the disputed areas. This issue goes beyond internal affairs,” she said.

“The role played by the Dalai Lama is clear to all. China’s position on the eastern section of the boundary is also very clear,” she said.

“The arrangement of Dalai’s visit to the disputed area by India runs counter to its commitments on issues related to Tibet and it runs counter to benefits of bilateral relations. We demand that India stop this wrong action,” she said.

About Rijiju’s comments that it was a religious visit and should not be politicised, she said, “We have noted the statement of the official from the Indian side.”

“Could you tell me honestly do you seriously believe that Dalai is only a religious leader. I think the answer is known to all. He is not just a religious figure.

“Therefore, his visit to the place will not be purely of religious purpose. So using the empty words to defend this arrangement is not reasonable. We demand the Indian side to stop this move of undermining Chinese interests,” she said.

Chinese officials in off the record conversations with the media said China is really angry about the Dalai Lama’s visit specially because he was accompanied by a minister.

Unlike previous visits, the officials said the Dalai Lama was accompanied by a minister which makes it different.

What a whiner these chinese are. They keep blocking Indian's interest and Indian side always optimistic that we will talk with China and settle this matter. Where as china without considering India's interest keep giving threats. No need to do trade with slit eyes anymore. They are trouble for the whole region.
India should start investing heavily in Taiwan or allow Taiwan to invest into India more. India need to put additional duties on chinese companies and stop the flow of money from India to them. Thought it will be small but will have some impact,

But India wholesalers can not be separated from china... Look at Yiwu and Guangzhou, India wholesalers everywhere.
Beware of gujju over there..They will let you sell your lands and whole district to them without you even realizing. :P

We are not talking about ordinary citizen walking on the street. They are always helpful to each other and they care for people in dire need irrespective of their nationalities.

It is governments actions which defines where the nation is going and their actions define relations among various nations.

Chinese government is not doing anything positive to help Indian government in international arenas to move India to higher places. They are the major obstacles in Indian aspirations. Indian government have given them multiple opportunities to sort these difference but chinese are not interested and they are hell bound in dilly dalling.
Indian government cannot afford it more.
if chinese think they can play the game by their own rules then they are grossely mistaken.

Maybe India should give up South Tibet to Dailai Lama and the Tibetans and call it free Tibet. People living there are Tibetans anyway.

Sad that India use a old monk as a chess piece. No shame.
Its sadder to see China call the same old monk a terrorist and a demon. Yes that is sadder.
