Well India is legally bound to protest as that act legally is a transgression on territorial sovereignty (notwithstanding the utter lack of practical outcome of such protest) - and I am prepared to see similarities with the vociferous one-china policy.

But how exactly does meeting the Dalai Lama become a breach of Chinese law that the Chinese foreign ministry protests so loudly? My suggestion would be for China to convict him, get an Interpol notice against him and declare him an absconder. Then it would be justified in this course of action.

Why convict him when he can also serve China interest as well, India want to rip political interest out of him, China will rip political interest because of him.

China should stop childish behaviour and talk to dalai lama, and sort ot the problem to tibet issue.

Erroneous.India has recognised Tibet as part of China decades ago so no question of providing home to separatists. He has merely been granted political asylum and in fact it is a prerogative of any state to grant asylum to anyone who is deemed persecuted unjustly. Nothing to do with separatism.

The only ground for deporting him back to China is if China says he is a convicted criminal - but mysteriously that has never happened.
