Have you come across recent news reports which claim that Pakistani security forces have captured a man believed to be a Daesh Commander and two others accused of recruiting people in South Asia? If these reports are accurate, there are grave implications of such recruiting efforts by Daesh in a region already plagued with terrorism. These reports also suggest that these so called recruiters are charging Daesh for the number of recruits they send back. These reports, if true, are disturbing. Their efforts to brainwash and recruit misguided people have met with some degree of success, as in the few cases we have seen of people leaving their nations to join Daesh.

We need to collectively combat not only the actions of these ruthless terrorists, but also diminish their influence on impressionable minds. CENTCOM leads the kinetic fight against Daesh through Operation Inherent Resolve. You can get more information regarding this operation, our combined efforts, and the list of our partner nations conducting operations against Daesh on the link below. yes there was news about an arrest in Lahore
indeed they are very serious, specially in Balochstian where the mostl likely culprit is the Baloch chapter of Lashker e Jhangvi that normally targets shia pilgrims. there has been some random walk chalking in different parts of the cities across Pakistan.

I must say that there are many self claimed copycat claims made by people otherwise known to belong to banned sectarian terrorist organisations like Sipha sahabah or the sub factions of Pakistani Taliban.

the most frustrating fact is that the cleric of an infamous Mosque in Islamabad has openly expressed his support towards the IS and vouched his allegiance to Al- Baghdadi. he is also mocking the state of Pakistan once again through his sermons, refusing to condemn the Peshawar massacre, justifying the actions of TTP and threatening to unleash 500 female suicide bombers in case he is harmed or his setup is raided like back in 2008.

sooner or later it is going to happen when enough will be enough, we only hope that this time he doesnt benefit from the political differences of Lawyers and other political parties like during Musharraf time.

You guys invaded Afghanistan, Iraq and turned them in a hell-hole and we are cleaning your mess here. Now you want Pakistan to join in your new expedition .

Have some shame now. You guys couldn't even handle Afghanistan and Iraq and now you have audacity to ask for more from Pakistan. Keep Pakistan out of your collective thing. We will do what will be good for Pakistan.

Uncle Sam just can't mind it's own business. Ever.
In that sense it's very much like a Malabari Indian.
Always have to know what others are doing and get a sip of the chit chat.
Jesus Christ man America wtf is wrong with you.

He can be useful in many ways. Breaking Isis's newly built network in Pakistan is critical for Pakistan.

Let’s recap a little bit of history; terrorism was already an issue in the region when our forces went into Afghanistan. Al-Qaida had already attacked multiple times before we asked the Taliban regime to hand over Al-Qaida. Afghanistan was under a brutal regime, cut off from the world with no hope of development or progress. As the saying goes, fire in your neighbor’s house eventually spreads - and this fire, terrorism, was already living in your neighbor’s house. Burying your head underground like an ostrich doesn’t take care of the problem at hand. Instead of pointing fingers, let’s focus on solutions and working together to control and put out this fire.

Calling him a "Commander " is a bit of exaggeration. There are no active Ops by ISIS in this region yet. He should be called 'recruiter' or a 'facilitator'. More like the ones operating in Europe and US which by the way are sending lot more recruits. Do you call them 'Commanders'? Development is worrying nevertheless. Militants in this region are battle hardened and make for most sought after terorrist recruits. Ongoing offensive by Pakistan and developing situation in Afghanistan may lead them to flee in the hands of ISIS which I am sure will be more than ready to embrace these experienced fighters. They might take this route to live another day.

@CENTCOM

Terrorist organizations have a very elaborate setup. In order to defeat them it is important to understand their system and make distinction as to what role that terrorist was playing in that organization. While naive media will often commit mistakes, as a Professional from none other than CENTCOM I expected you to elaborate for us these differences. Please take into account the relentless assault of Western media on our defense forces especially intelligence apparatus. While their services and sacrifices should have been much appreciated as the only Muslim national military engaged in ground war against terrorist outfits, we are seeing likes of Homeland series! We in Pakistan feel being assaulted by our own allies. When we are fighting a common enemy, mistrust between the people of US and Pakistan won't help. It only helps terrorists.

I fully agree with you about the need to work closely and putting up a united response to this growing menace. I am also aware of US engagement with our military and help that is being extended to us in our fight. I only wish our cooperation only deepens and extends to other fields like economic and infrastructure development. Development of our nation will surely help to eradicate terrorism at its roots. Thank you.

@Paksanity, Thank you for your response. Please re-read what I wrote, "news reports which claim that Pakistani security forces have captured a man believed to be a Daesh Commander".

Guess what the so-called-commander confessed that he got funds from USA. Now what you say about that Mr. CENTCOM? Startling revelations: IS operative confesses to getting funds via US – The Express Tribune

Pakistan have to vary of the threat posed by USA, and their game isnt over in Afghanistan. Recent visit of Obama suggests that they might handover Afghanistan to India. Pakistan have to be very cautious and suspicious of every move Yankees make. Any solution of Afghanistan must include Pakistan, and China now onward. No more Yankee or Indian crap should be allowed in Afghanistan.

Very well said @CENTCOM .

Never trust Uncle Sam!!! You should better than us about them after what they did in WW2 to you.
