I will say the same thing when i come into your house,Kill your People,violate them and then later ask,where is the law or proof?

Cow is treated like a Mother, If you idiots cannot get it into your heads, then they will be Violence which you cannot dream.
I agree with politicians stuff,but why cover the fact that guy stole Calf of his Neigbhor and killed,ate its meat on Bakr-Eid?

Dude it is against the law to rob a bank but if you happen to be in the vicinity of a bank heist you still cant shoot and kill the robber. If you do, you will be charged with murder or man slaughter.

It is very possible that this guy did steal and kill a calf BUT you can't lynch him for that.

The problem is that there is no law and order in UP, So no one to complain to. People who steal and kill cows routinely get away with it.

I understand the need to stop cow killing when it is such an emotional subject. But you are never going to win this battle through lynchings.

1. It requires huge guts to steal calf in a small village where everyone knows everybody and nothing can be hidden.

2. They just had a Kilo of meat in their house. Had they killed a whole calf, they'd have had much more than that.

3. Forensic team which collected meat sample from his freezer claimed that it was mutton. After so many months, another forensic team from Mathura says that it was cow meat. Why was there such a long silence? What is with the timing of this report? Elections obviously.

4. Which sample was tested by the Mathura lab? It was collected from garbage outside his home.

5. Nobody ever saw Akhlaq stealing cow, neither killing it nor dumping the waste in garbage. When it was said that the meat in Akhlaq's fridge was mutton, why was Mathura lab asked to test another sample (which was not taken from his home at the time of incident).

6. Even if somebody commits a crime, nobody has got the right to take law in his own hands and kill people in murderous rage. This is insanity and Taliban style instant mob justice.

Exactly.... even if the calf missing someone else might did it... If they slaughter the calf where are the remains ... the samples found inside home is mutton and now suddenly samples found outside is beef.. common anyone throw those samples to frame his family... Such a shame some guys justifying this act .. in the name of calf missing..

it all boils down to what is right or wrong?
"sentiments of the majority" is a big factor and anybody, especially , if he/she belongs to the minority, should weigh his or her actions before actually doing it. but this act of compassion on the part of non-majority people shouldn't be taken for granted as something required by law.
however, the same "act of compassion" on part of the majority should have been enough to prevent the lynching of akhlaq, but it didnt.
In any case, sentiments/compassions etc etc are abstract feelings and cant be replaced by rule of law.
whether akhlaq was slaughtering/eating beef or dancing with a cow, nobody has any right to lynch him. if my "sentiments" are hurt, I will go to the police station and file a FIR.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said the family of Mohammad Akhlaq, who was lynched in Dadri by a mob who suspected he had kept beef at home, should face charges for cow slaughter and be stripped of the benefits they were given after his killing. Adityanath's comments came after the lawyers of the accused released a forensic lab report to the media. The report, prepared at a Mathura lab in October, said the meat sample found outside Akhlaq's home came from a cow.

Akhlaq's son has said he will challenge the forensic lab's report in court, News18 reported. It remains unclear if the meat was even in the Akhlaqs' possession, and it has been pointed out that regardless of what it was, a lynching cannot be justified.

Uttar Pradesh police chief Javed Ahmed had said the new lab report "does not diminish the case as murder is an offence". Beef eating is not a crime in Uttar Pradesh, only cow slaughter is. Vishal, the son of local BJP leader Sanjay Rana, was arrested as the main accused in the case. Rana has said he will file a cow slaughter case against Akhlaq's family.

The incident, which took place in September 2015, caused nationwide outrage and fuelled a debate on religious intolerance in the country. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav offered Akhlaq's family Rs 20 lakh as compensation, and the Indian Air Force, where Akhlaq's son was an officer, offered the family protection. The family moved to Delhi soon after the incident, fearing for their safety.
