Good news for Egypt. Eventhough I thought they will be worried about what other Muslim countries/ people in the country/region will view this, considering they will be dealing with and selling oil/gas coming from Israel. Anyway, who cares as long as it serves your national interests?

While Turkey is busy with making problems for resistance axis in the region satisfying American Neocons, i can see that USA is opening an other front against Turkey with new issue of energy.

Yeah i like the way USA-Israel plays with people like Erdogan, but as far as i am aware this Gas-field belongs to Turkey.

What matters is what Egyptian people think ; the people in Egypt want jobs and higher standard of living . These type of deals is what will allow Egyptian economy to grow sustainably.

The Egyptian leadership understands their future is with the European Union ; Africa and far east .

With the exception of the Arab gulf countries the Muslim world offered nothing to Egypt except terrorism and hatred .

Egyptian prime minister said that if a third LNG plant is required then Egypt is willing to build one more.

If they do need a 3rd one, it will be interesting to see if and where they build it since both Idku and Damietta are on the northern coast but still a ways from the canal. If their exporting trajectory will include countries in Africa, they might consider building it closer to Port Said so the ships can essentially just pull out of the docks and enter the canal to head south.
