First the U.S. must succeed in raising their national debt limit before flexing its 'economic muscle', it will serve no purpose other than making a fool of themselves. Failing to increase the national debt limit by August will result in a downgrade on its national debt rating which will increase borrowing costs and further slowing its economic recovery. I wonder if China and Russia are in the same economic situation they are in right now? Who will get hurt more when the s*it hits the fan I wonder.

It is understandable that the US would threaten military retaliation for a cyber attack since the capability gap between the US and other countries is widest in the military arena. You always try to fight on your terms, with your choice of weapons.

When an enemy can violate your airspace at his convenience and can bomb you to the point where you are so weak that you have to plead for negotiation, as the US did during the war against North Viet Nam, it meant neither China nor the Soviet Union will do anything should there be a ground invasion against North Viet Nam. The RVN/USA alliance had many times stopped short of the 17th parallel on the ground, not because of the fear of the NVA, but because the alliance was fighting for partition, not unification of the two territories. Do not be mislead by the propaganda that China threatened to respond to such an invasion with Chinese troops and that deterred the US. Think about it. If your neighbor is so bold that he can throw his trash into your living room at his convenience, what make you think you can resist him stomping into your kitchen to help himself to your bread? Zilch.

If these individuals are supported by a foreign state, in anyway whatsoever, US has the right to attack that country - economically, diplomatically and/or militarily.
