Unfortunately due to urbanization our sports culture is dying here, no body in the big cities are playing any kind of sports except cricket and virtual games in computers, Athletes from remote places and villages are having no support, this is very bad and i know still in India local sports culture is existing and they are getting support from relative councils.

Congratulations to India. The leagues India have invested in and the focus on sports is paying off and it cannot be a bad thing. Having a huge population, there is bound to be talent of sports in each field, it is only about finding the right people from the population. What smaller countries achieve by investing in training and providing facilities to the athletes, India can do (and so should Pakistan) by investing in transparent talent hunting and a bit of polishing.

Indeed. Individual sports like weight lifting, wrestling, boxing offer many medals, are relatively cheaper and it is more about finding the right talent from pool of millions of people than anything else. These games should be the focus for Olympics and CWGs etc. While cricket, hockey, snooker/pool/billiard etc for world championships!
