I think not. Ma Weiming was basically praised every year for the past decade, but seem to have gone silent in the last 2. Also, it's been a year since they launch the ship and the tent is still in place over EMALS. That kind of delay is a bit unusual for a Chinese ship.
Because the EMALS still needs a tremendous amount of power, that's why Fujian looks more and more like a nuclear/conventional hybrid.
When Shandong was launched, its exhaust port started to fume within 2 weeks. Whereas Fujian has been launched for 10 months, and there is no sign of fume, because its main source of power is likely being replaced by the nuclear reactors.
And now Fujian will start to testify its catapults, and you will likely see fume come out from its exhaust port, because its EMALS is still powered by the conventional power as Ma Weiming stated years ago.
The pure conventional propulsion cannot power Fujian.
And the CVN-19 in DL and CVN-20 in JN will all be pure nuclear powered carriers without any exhaust port like Fujian.
