Pakistan cant have communal riots for one thing minorities are a small % they are weak and have no leg to stand on but in India we have over 150 million Muslims so there is higher chance for riots.

What do you mean by can't have communal riots? Communal riots don't just mean hindu muslim riots, there aren't many Hindus left in the land of pure to riot anyway. But look at Karachi, every year thousands of people die in sectarian riots/killings, they kill shias for fun. burn down girls' school, you don't even need to go to the talibani tribal lands. These are scenes in major cities.

Its not few its widespread but slow. Every few days we hear about id cards of Shias being asked and then killed.

I have been reading UP dainik jagran everyday for the last 15 days, have not read the incidents mentioned by Phylumchordata (of Hindu women being raped).

Did read something about an "evesteasing" which triggered of the violence. That was just the trigger point, Faizabad has been tense for past 1 month or so, due to the idol theft case.

And don't go by the name Faizabad. Majority of Muslim population are illiterate and very poor, its not like Muslims own the town and are killing and chasing all the Hindus out or anything.

You would see even now many Pakistanis from a certain province threatening the Muhajirs here with Army operations and taunting them with the 92 Op. Not that the Muhajirs are all saintly. But just saying that behind this facade of the united pakistaniyat there lies a deep seated ethnic suspicion that time and again becomes hatred. Just a little shake and it will come tumbling down.
