I'd love to know the difference.

Both currencies have no intrinsic value, are not pegged to anything of worth and are worth what consumer confidence says they are worth.

InshaAllah the mufti is aware of the nature of fiat currency. I would love to read the reasoning behind the fatwa. If it is available please share.
