Crisis Alert - India's unemployment at 9.4%

. . .
The biggest problem for unemployment in India is due to its blast of population, there are much more mouth to eat then hands to earn.

No its not becuase of the blast of population rather a exclusive growth created this problem. Indian growth only benifitted the middle class population in finding jobs in the outsource IT sector. But lower segment and female left behind. Just imagine the unemployment rates if their women start looking for jobs in full potential.

In between a good news

Good news, India's per capita crosses Rs 50,000: Reflecting growing prosperity, India's per capita income grew by 15.6 per cent to Rs 53,331 per annum in 2010-11, crossing the half-a-lakh rupees mark for the first time, according to government data.

It could be that India is just printing more money and having an illusion of having higher per capita in Rs. Zimbabwean has billions of Z$ per capita, too.

It is hard to measure those things. GDP numbers from India includes government subsidy, etc. If you include government subsidy in China, Chinese real GDP would be growing in the neighborhood of 13-15% per year.

As for printing money, guess going by constant price measure you can see the real growth.
