This thing goes very deep, as explained in the general thread with the new documentary, it's a sad reality but EVEN ICC OFFICIALS ARE IN ON IT, they just have to show themselves as oblivious and strong against corruption when footage goes public (as with Amir, Asif and Butt scandal by the "News Of The World" magazine and with the Warner and Smith ball-tampering footage).
Keep in mind the deaths of Hansie Cronje and Bob Woolmer during very odd times and circumstances, unfortunately when it comes to mafias and money, no one is safe or untouchable. I remember this player Zulqarnain (who was guaranteed to play the WHOLE tour while just having STARTED his international career) quitting half way and promising to expose the "fixing" and then never making another statement again. Ppl keep saying he wanted british citizenship but really? Just starting out your career as an international cricketer even for Pak, who in their right minds would give all that up just to get UK citizenship (something he could have easily applied for or just marry into like numerous other cricketers of Pak origin have done like Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Azhar Mahmood etc etc). Obviously he was very shocked about how fixing works in international cricket and someone or parties got to him with threats or something before he could expose them all
