Crew chief in Taiwan Navy's S-70C helicopter crash dies

If somebody think current China Z-20 cannot be better than S-70 build 30 years ago. They are fooling themselves only.

Those troll have IQ72 while we are 110. They are inferior to us, so they would not understand that simple fact :enjoy:

So China cannot take on Taiwan you guys resort to making fun of an accidental death of someone who serves his country but you guys too chickenshit to do the same for your country.

Why would we want to take Taiwan forcefully when USA kowtow to PRC and dont even recognize Taiwan an independent or admit one China policy. If you want PRC take Taiwan, USA shall declare one China policy is illegal and recognized Taiwan as country.

We , PRC will immediately attack Taiwan. Coward USA!

and when did we make fun of somebody death? IS there rules that we cant post any authentic news? Did we curse the Taiwanese pilot or make some silly comment about the pilot? Dont anyhow put words into other mouth. Typical dirty tactics by evil American.

4 crashed by ROC airforce in less than a year... I think ROC airforce shall bear reponsible for so many accident.

Glass cockpit makes Z20 superior?
New S70's come with a digital glass cockpit and older ones can be upgraded.

Lets compare specs I'll show you mine....

Now you show me yours...don't be shy..

what makes the Z20 superior to the original?
I think you failed to read my post. Guess frog in the well loves to be selective!

Z-20 is much better than UH-60 Black Hawk: Chinese analyst

in China's New Military Weapons

Reading Time: 2 mins read

Recently the CCTV military microblog released some pictures of PLA Aviation’s utility helicopter Z-20, and according to Chinese military analyst Wu Long, Z-20 is superior to UH-60 Black Hawk in many ways.

Wu Long pointed out that although Z-20 is similar to the overall configuration of the US Sikorsky S-70/UH-60 “Black Hawk” helicopter, it’s more square in the outline of the fuselage, especially in the rear of the passenger cabin. And this improvement is apparently based on the experience gained by China’s Army Aviation Force during the 30 years of using Black Hawk. Besides, compared with the old Black Hawk, Z-20’s workmanship is very delicate.

Z-20 front view
If viewed from the front, the difference between Z-20 and “Black Hawk” is more obvious. Z-20 uses two windshields instead of three, which improves the pilot’s field of vision.
Compared with the original S-70C purchased in China, the nose of Z-20 contains a weather radar. So it can perform tasks under complex weather conditions, with an infrared forward-looking turret under the nose, which is more compact than Z-10 and Z-19, allowing pilots to fly at nights and under low visibility.

Fine workmanship of Z-20
In terms of power and airborne equipment, Z-20 is much more advanced than “Black Hawk”. It uses 5-blade bearingless composite paddles, its rotor blades have a de-icing system, and can fly in low-temperature weather.

In addition, Z-20 uses a digital fly-by-wire flight control system, which is only equipped in “upgraded version” of UH-60M
that has entered service for about two years apart from NH-90, which reduces the weight of the fuselage and the pilot’s driving burden, and is the first time it is adopted in China’s domestic helicopters. Therefore, Z-20 was classified as China’s domestically produced fourth-generation helicopter by its chief engineer Deng Jinghui.

Copy mean 100% the same including the fault... But Z-20 is much superior. More powerful engine, 5 main rotor blade which means superior lift and digital FBW which US S-70 lacking at the moment.
Lol its a copy mate wether you admit or not but its a fact

The guy was comparing 1984 spec Blackhawk with 2019 spec Z20 - do you think the US hasn't upgraded the Blackhawk since 1984? Modern variants are equipped with de-icing systems, composite rotar blade in 1987, fly by wire in 2011. There are 60 variants of the Blackhawk, the special forces version has the uprated YT706-GE-700 engine and all the bells and whistles needed by the night stalkers that fly the MH60-M.

And 5 rotor blade isn't an advantage, on the contrary it indicates the Chinese copy needs extra lift afforded by an additional rotor blade. Either it's engine doesn't generate the desired RPM or the Z20 is heavier than the original. The fifth rotar blade means the Chinese variant suffers from higher drag, reduced range and an increased probability of detection by radar.

Still nothing to convince me or anyone else the duplicate is superior to the original a helicopter that was conceived in the 1970s. Besides the design is already at the end of its life, to be replaced by tilt rotors..and here you are bragging about a copy of a 70's era design.

Lol.. more like you can't accept Z20 is superior than UH-60 imported by China in the 90s and try avoid the topic.

That is not what you say. You are questioning whether Z20 in 2020 can even be better than the original Blackhawk build in the 80s which IMO ,you are obviously trolling.

And once again, you are just arguing for the sake of arguing. If you have some basic helo design knowledge. You don't added extra rotor blade unless u have the power to support the spin. To claim China added extra lift without the adequate power just show your ignorant or lack of knowledge.

To further even demonstrate Z20 power, this helo is deploy at Tibet area, highest peak in the world.

I’m not saying the dead pilot is pathetic, a watch dog has to pay for his bones is pathetic.

I just let the PDF Chinese crow about their copies of Western machines.

As long as they do not violate the laws of nature, am fine with their nationalistic ravings.
