Like in the AT96, the Techrules Ren features electric motors that power the wheels. A lithium-ion polymer battery pack provides power to the motors. When it runs out of juice, the diesel turbine engine converts diesel fuel into mechanical energy, then takes it a step further and converts the mechanical into electrical energy. To put it simply, the turbines act as range extenders.

The upscale Techrules Ren RS comes available with four and six electric motor configurations. The four-motor configuration produces 858 hp and 1,150 lb-ft of torque, down from the 6,000 lb-ft of torque we saw in the AT96 TREV. The six-motor system generates 1,287 hp and 1,725 lb-ft of torque.

That kind of performance results in a 0-to-60 mph time of just three seconds and a top speed of 205 mph. Take note that both motor configurations power an all-wheel drivetrain. Drivers also have their choice of a single 30-kW turbine or two 80-kW turbines.

Interestingly enough, the Techrules Ren RS boasts up to a 727-mile range on just 21 gallons of diesel fuel. You can scoff, but keep in mind this is a supercar with four-figure performance. The suspension is designed for GT3 racing cars, and 15-inch carbon ceramic brakes with six-pot calipers help bring this hot shot to a stop.

The Techrules Ren RS may be Chinese, but it most certainly doesn’t come cheap. With a limited production run of 96 track units, followed by 10 units per year, the supercar is one hot commodity. Expect pricing to land somewhere around $3 million, and rightly so.

. . . .
Yes, but finally China is able to make top of the line sports cars.

Byton just received huge backing from CATL. I think their future is bright, as well.

And they have some futuristic looking cars, as well. Perhaps not my thing, but, millennials are different sort of people. They like sitting inside a car that looks like a moving computer.

If the sales of Volvo are counted, the number will be close to 2 million for Geely group.
And Geely is the biggest single share holder of Mercedes-Benz with 10% share, and is expecting to increase in the future.
