My cousin married with cousin ,She produced 2 white babies and one brown, one brown child was died due to heart problem at age of 2, other white skin girl died too, she was disable, one remain of white child has disability too, he can't see well and he is 4 year old. England doctors advised her family not to do cousin marriage .
On other hand, other cousin married with cousin and they produced normal child.
Yakhh I hate cousin marriage, not going to take risk even if it is less. Not going to happen, Never , Ever......

I didn't married my 2nd cousin though their parents pressured me.. .... God saved me.. from 1 00 000 walk but give me 10 000 wala ( crackers).. Obviously 1 00 000 is quite expensive

Your cousin's side probably had consanguinity occur pretty frequently, as my post says, it's dead near impossible for there to be defects like that when it's just a one generation thing.

Constantly marrying first cousin over generations can cause genetic disorders. From an Islamic point of view it is acceptable for cousins to marry but at the same time it is acceptable for Muslims from across the world to marry. Marrying outside the family can strengthen family bonds, if divorce occurres people go their seperate ways. Divorce amongst cousins can cause a huge rift and emnity between families. Marry outside the family is a better option. Just my opinion.

Technically, Islam encourages genetic diversity. But yes marrying cousins is allowed, just not encouraged.

2 of my cousins are married and they have 6 kids now. All healthy and fat as .....
BTW I am not a proponent of cousin marriages myself.

Everything is white, from hair, eyes lashes , whole white skin, Very sensitive skin even , one child was brown but he died too due to heart problem. Only one is alive, 5 year old same sensitivite skin, and he can't see well.
While 2 other cousin couple, they produced normal babies.

But there is always risk in cousion marriage

I'm just saying that we need to discuss this, as clearly a lot of people within the region do tend to get with their cousins.

Pakistanis are blessed to have a nation with citizens of various backgrounds. People from different provinces and clans should marry other communities. It strengthens our unity.

Luckily it seems to be heading that way for us. However, in other countries such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar it actually seems to be expanding which saddens me.

I've seen it with my extended family in Pak everyone is married in families they share no blood relation with. I only know of one that is married to her first cousin and she is very happy.

Only if it occurs frequently, on a one off basis the risk is negligible, in fact fertility rates are actually higher.

Pretty much same situation with me, my family avoids such things with the exception of one or two fellows (but they are doctors and recognise that it cannot be repeated by their kids).
