stupid idea, why not set up temporary courts in those areas, justice can't be served on the go, cases take time. Making the courts mobile would incur additional expenses on bus procurement, driver, fuel, maintenance, and who is going to stop a judge if he decides to take his family on a picnic in the same bus?

how much does the bus cost and how much will it take to estabish those courts in every area(maybe in thousands), not to forget to run those thousands of courts even more thousands of staff? and then the electricity connection, water connection etc and then how much will those thousands of judges cost as compared to one judge in one bus

and if there will be one judge wont he spend money on his travelling expenses?

do you think this is cheaper or that?

Are these tribal courts like the one that sentenced Shakil Afridi or the real ones?

man.. mobile courts wont be literally mobile... they wont drive around while listening to the complain. They will stop the bus.. listen to cases in the area, and once done... move to another place. :cheesy:

they can come back to same place for few days if some cases require longer duration.. or can refer them to normal court.

Shakil Afridi was sentenced under PPC.

No, it was not PPC, it was a tribal court following its own code where he was not even allowed a lawyer to represent him. I am glad that a "real" judicial official has overturned his sentence.

Afridi was not present in the court during his trial and could not argue in his own defence, officials said after his conviction. Under the tribal system, he would not have had access to a lawyer.
