I am not interested in linguistics really. superior military, top dog, sole super power

its purchasing power alone has made a lot of emerging markets and aspiring super powers.
call it whatever but American military might is a defining factor in the world and America has the power to shape the world with its military might

like they say

when you only have the hammer then every problem looks like a nail
it is true for America for the past 60 years and more.

I can agree that USA is the sole superpower currently, but with the proviso that its soft power is much more potent than its military might.

if America launches its cyber attack then it will fry all Chinese command and control systems in a matter of moments.

1. what do you mean "fry systems"??

2. it is usa military that is heavily dependent on gps satellites and spy satellites for guidance of drones, bombers, ships, submarines, rockets and soldiers... it is usa government heavily dependent on satellite-based networking technologies for offices... in a world war, usa military and government will be immediately at disadvantage because its satellites will be shot away by chinese and russia anti-satellite rockets... and this is why usa military has been putting resources into airship-based radar facilities.

3. russia and china seem quite good at cyber attacks... which is why nato has a counter-cyber-warfare training school in estonia.

Americans are way ahead of them, you dont have a clue only find out in little bits what some defectors like Snowden tell you

by frying the system I mean exactly what you understood. the modern day command and control, air deference command, missile command, early warning system, strategic command. you name it .. are all interlinked and dependent on the same architecture of chipset that we normally associate our devises with.

I have said enough @gambit please take over some schooling is in order for the nay sayers

The US was close to doing it in 1945 when, correct me if I'm wrong, the US was the only country in the world that had nukes 8-) I don't think any country will ever get another opportunity like that.
