How bad was his tyranny? I know about his desecration of masjids for no reason at all but what else did he do?

He banned cow slaughter and imposed death penalty on the same.

He destroyed masjids wherever he marched to.

He converted numerous masjids to Gurdwaras/temples.

I was, am and will always be secular.

may be some fanatic akali jealots did some excess on muslims , but ranjit singh as a statesman kept muslims in important positions whenever he found them useful for his political designs .he had no objection to chose his wives from muslims.
