Corrupt Turkish Islamists regain power

Turkey election: OSCE says 'serious concerns' over vote - BBC News

The OSCE said that an increase in violence, particularly in the south-east, "restricted some contestants' ability to campaign freely".

It also criticised curbs on media freedom.

Earlier Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the world to respect the result of Sunday's election.

Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) went further and denounced the entire process as "unfair".

In a statement on Monday, Ignacio Sanchez Amor, head of the OSCE observer mission, said: "Physical attacks on party members, as well as the significant security concerns, particularly in the south-east" had affected campaigning.

He added that pressure on journalists - including a police raid on the Koza-Ipek media group in Istanbul last week - was a major concern.

"Unfortunately, the campaign for these elections was characterized by unfairness and, to a serious degree, fear," said Andreas Gross, Head of the PACE delegation.

Responding to reports of pressure on journalists, the White House spokesman John Earnest said the US had urged Turkey "to uphold universal democratic values."

-Coalition was impossible from the first day to begin with, Turkish parties are just too different from eachother to make a coalition, in fact i would have wondered if there would be a coalition...democracy in Turkey is surely not flawless, in fact it never was whether under AKP or Seculars but we still made progress in most fields regarding democracy (except press freedom).
So because you have no confidence in democratic political processes you are willing to accept Erdogan's tyranny? You do understand, don't you, that the obstinacy of Erdogan is EXACTLY the technique he used to prevent a coalition and favor his exclusive rule?

You've been played by Erdo - all Turks have. He's robbed you of your voice. Are you going to do anything about it?

Theres nothin to do as long as people keep voting for him, no alternative at all, all parties suck so people vote for the best of the worst, the economic development is speaking for AKP while other parties have nothing to show at all instead of stupid talks, thats why i hate Turkish politics, it sucks big time.

You could hold your own local elections as a check on the power of corrupted central elections.

Turkey isnt a confederation.
I'm no expert, but under Turkey's Constitution, given Erdogan's conduct you may not be bound to the central government any more:

"...The absolute supremacy of the will of the nation, the fact that sovereignty is vested fully and unconditionally in the Turkish Nation and that no individual or body empowered to exercise this sovereignty in the name of the nation shall deviate from the liberal democracy indicated in the Constitution and the legal system instituted according to its requirements..every Turkish citizen has an innate right and power, to lead an honourable life and to improve his/her material and spiritual wellbeing under the aegis of national culture, civilization, and the rule of law, through the exercise of the fundamental rights and freedoms set forth in this Constitution -"

This is a bad idea because of pkk meddling in elections and threatening locals to vote for what they prefer, just happened this weekend.

What, you think the old way should be tried and Turkey's military step in to remove Erdogan by force?

No, absolutely not, we had four coups in our history and all ruined the country and caused a half century of standstill.
As i have said, turkish politics is so fvcked up that a scenario without AKP seems to be dark, at least with the current, visionless, stubborn, old fashioned opposition.
Listening to the opposition makes it hard to take them serious, the first two terms of AKP were a time of development and people want it back but dont see the potential in CHP or MHP.

Mate, i don't understand you....i'm not an AKP fan. I voted for the nationalist party MHP, but this is democracy, whatever comes from the ballot box we should respect it as it's the will of Turkish people.

1) There are alleged - currently unproven - irregularities in the voting.
2) I didn't write Turkey's Constitution. Apparently its creators did not have great confidence that Turkish politicians would not seek to abuse their office or that the majority electorate would in effect seek to deny the rights of a civil minority. Therefore they left an "out" for civil disobedience and even revolution against tyranny.

Lose majority in election, prevent coalition, start a war with Kurds, bring terrorism back to Turkish streets
War with Kurds? Where is it? As being a Kurdish i see no war with Kurds.
There is an ati-terrorism operations agains pkk which is a terrorist group that you were/are arming 'em against us, muslim Kurds and Turks.
We Kurds live in peace but pkk supporters will live in the hell. Sorry we are annoying you but as long as you support this terrorists we will keep annoying you.:sniper::taz::bunny:
