Why don't we copyright our names. I mean there are thousands of persons with the same name e.g. there are thousands of Imran Khan, thousands of David and thousands of Rahul.

WHY IS THERE SHORTAGE OF NAMES?

Well because to copyright something you have to be the owner or inventor of said thing, unless you were born 1000s of year ago ,you can't do anything, or you can rename yourself something unique, though if you are so obsessed with a simple thing like name, you have a lot of problems....

If you see, you'll find that having same names is unnatural. Every human is different, so their names should also be different.

Thousands of years ago initial community of man had uniqueness in names. In fact all the great people had unique names and maintained that quality. Ram, Jesus Christ, Mohammad, Hassan, Hussain, they all had their own names. People adopted their names out of love and respect, but lost originality.

Even today when first contigent goes to Mars, they will have unique names. When they reproduce lets see what pattern do they adopt.

Every 100 km a language tend to change its dialect that automatically gives room to have different names. But in this fast communication and global world, can we achieve that objective of uniqueness?

I don't get you . if you are saying that having uniqueness in names may bring uniqueness in our character or may change the way we behave in society then it is a fallacious logic . great people are not known for their names but for their work, do you know how many great people with the name Abdul rehman are in our history??? we are not defined by our name culture race and colour but the strength of our resolve

I am talking about pure identity of an individual. When i say Abdul Rehman, there is no ambiguity which Abdul Rehman. In history there is no greater Abdul Rehman than first and foremost Abdul Rehman Bin Aouf. You see that is originality.

So here is the plan:

We can develop a software that will suggest names based on our thumb impression. It will depend on fingerprints what name we get, from an identity given by nature. It will be exciting to have a name.

Just change names into a gene-based ID. Problem solved. :D
