Cooperation in the Israeli-Turkish Defence Industry

. .
even if why should we not ?
I agree, I would have more faith in dealing with Israelis than I would with most other countries in the region.
Erdogan's use of Israel as an adversarial force is a play on emotion for minimal short term gains. He hasn't actually gained anything real out of it.
I've heard the argument that it was to draw himself closer to countries in the Middle East. If true, its been a failure. The positive relations we have with ME countries have nothing to do with Israel, for example Qatar. Nor has it played a role in improving relations with traditionally anti Israel countries. Realities on the ground and interests will determine that, not Israeli relations.
The only drawback is Israel-PKK relations. But lets look at it another way. If Turkish-Israeli relations improved, then thats a lot of intelligence that can be acquired from Israel which will come in handy towards defeating the PKK network.

Yeah I noticed, usually it's Saudi's or Egyptians. I'm surprised this SC guy has been tolerated when it's clear he has such a manipulative agenda. Maybe it's because his spam posts boost the activity rate for the forums or something.

I mean intelligence gathering. Israel will have accumulated quite a lot of information on the PKK's operations, personnel, equipment, tactics and so on over the years which could come in useful for Turkey's war on the PKK. It's no secret that Kurdish groups are beneficiaries of Israeli assistance.
Anyway it's a kind of moot point now since neither Erdogan or Netanyahu are mature enough to work together, and Israel wont want to take risks with its Kurdish proxies in case any war with Iran were to happen soon. I think Erdogan wont stop until he has defeated the network in Turkey. Israeli cooperation will be helpful but not necessary to achieve that aim.
