Constitution of PDF

All Law abiding members and Rouges of PDF , Come together and Frame the Constitution of PDF .

Here is my contribution to Constitution .

Preamble

PDF is a secular , Socialist and Democratic Community . As members its our duty to make PDF a place of Debate and Discussion . In front of Constitution , All members of PDF are equal netizens .

Directive Principles

MODS will be selected on the basis of + Ratings and Experience .
THUGS and TROLLS will be decided on the basis of - Ratings .

Article 001

Freedom of speech and expression . Violation of this leads to Ban of 1 day .
This Freedom has limits . Trolls and Hate speeches will lead to Ban of 3 days .
Continuous violations will lead to Permanent Ban , Thus taking away the membership rights .

I hope members including mods take cognizance of it and help in creation of our very own constitution .

Needs more muffins. All PDF members should have a right to free muffins.

And here we've hit a problem. As @William Hung noted this morning in a conversation with @Cossack25A1 , such is not an equally applied rule, rather it's subjected to the whims of the moderation staff, which makes our Constitution less relevant as we're functioning like a Police State or Multi-leader dictatorship, which leave the stated rights in the Constitution meaningless or not applicable to everyone, and thus we also arrive at a problem were not everyone is equal.

The thread William Hung and Cossack25A1 where commenting has seen uneven responses to hate speech, which is still present in that thread.

We have a caste system here. Title members have different rights then the rank and file member, including the right to judge the quality of the opinions or contributions of others and ascribe positive or negative ratings. They can also report a post and have it immediately hidden, were as the rest of us reporting a most may or may not garner Mod action against it.

Mods are Gods, a necessary evil, sometime benevolent, often mischievous and working for order and good... mostly. But they're still a tier above the rest of us. We aren't all free either, we're in a caste system. Do good, be good, be qualitative, move up in status to TTA or another title. Be bad, lack quality, and be banned a troll or be banned. Title holders for the most part seem immune to being demoted, though some like 500 are.

A worthwhile and interesting attempt and conversation, needs more muffins of course, but care needs to be taken to objectively assess the current situation. There's no point in a Constitution with wording that's either irrelevant to the situation or wont be followed by all.

If I rephrase that MODS are PM and Presidents . Nothing wrong If MODS have such powers .
No Freedom is absolute . There are limits and while framing it , Limits must be decided .
