What's new

Congratulations to Pakistan's Future Prime Minister on Completing his Education

In 2006.. a long time ago I went to muree/invited to muree as a group of students who topped their boards ..there was people from around the country from KP to Balochistan

I found out that day even young Cadets are taught "bloody useless civilians"
Cadets were treating rest of us as trash.
Also realized how British empire still lives on their gulf clubs

My observation can be questioned or considered one off but it's an observation regardless
Many Bengali origin Army officers decided to stay in Pakistan and serve in Pakistan Army. Civilians also made that choice. Are you not happy ?

No point of arguing with you.
We are incompetent bloody civilians

You know why there is no point arguing with me ?
Because I was a cadet too and there was no training neither encouragement to ridicule civilians or call them incompetent bloody civilians.

Its not my duty to cleanse your toxicity and its not my fight to take on the negativity brewing inside you. I can post a thousand images of Military aiding civilians or so called "incompetent bloody civilians".

Travel across pakistan
Ask 1000 people
You will get the answer
Just like molvi say there are no dirty apples, doctor say there are no corrupt doctors, samw is what cadets think..but go ask the people too. Ultimately its their opinion that matters

This mindset is why army has always jumped into managing the country. People use to accept it as country was always in a problem spot but doubt their is an apetite for it any further

Denial wont fix the problem

I did travel, not once but many times. The answer was that Army saved them during all disasters and emergencies. There is a mindset and then there is practicality. People know that civil help doesn't come (apart from Rescue 1122) and that Army needs to jump in managing even civil departments like PIA, PR, WAPDA etc. Army has saved people in flooding, earthquakes, making bridges and roads, repairing/restoring rail tracks and cleaning canals, opened medical camps and hospitals, as well as COVID 19 camps and then schools, colleges, technical institutions etc. All of these are practical steps and yes your denial of these wont fix the problem.

.
and i just remembered that a few times it has happened that Army was sent in response to disturbance and would find two tribes/clans fighting each other. the commanding officer would intervene, make both sides sit in front of each other and come to an agreement. Many Army officers were awarded TQA (Tamgha e Quaid e Azam) for bringing peace in that area.

Its army job to act on natural disasters..thats why they get 30% of budget

Its like this all over the world from USA to zimbabwae

If public didn't want it, they shouldn't have welcomed Ayub, Zia or Musharraf.

Army is called in after the civil defense fails. Where is Pakistan's Civil defense ? Non existent. The failure of the law and order in Pakistan is another debacle of the country which is not Army's headache, but Army is not sent everywhere, not because of the 30% budget allocation but because the civilian structure is inept and prone to failure.

That is exaclty what Army is for. To protect and serve. Leave national policy decisions to politicians chosen by the people. Theres a certain quote by Quaid-e-Azam which has been circulating alot recently on these forums, I wont bother to share it again. But people like you should save it as your wallpaper.

NO.Army is not for managing PTCL, WAPDA, Railways, PIA etc. And secondly, where is Civil defense in disasters and emergencies ? Its non existent.

Is Army also for making truce and peace between clans ?

You obviously have no idea what is Civil Defense. Try to keep an open mind while discussing. I dont want to think that Im replying a buffoon.

Anyways, Pakistan Army established 37 heatstroke centers in different districts of Punjab. In addition, doctors, paramedics and other staff worked at various locations in the urban and rural areas and in the metropolitan cities, including Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Pasroor, Shakargarh, Kasur, Sialkot, Zafarwal, Daska, Marala, Bahawalnagar, Mailsi, Bahawalpur, Dera Nawab Sahib and far-flung areas of Khairpur, Tamewali and Cholistan desert. Each heatstroke center has been equipped with all necessary facilities to ensure effective healthcare.

This below is set up by II Corps.

Heatstroke camps were set up by the Pakistan Army in the remote villages of Gharo, Sindh, and clean drinking water was provided to the people living in severe water shortage areas. Rations were also distributed among the deserving persons.

This just surmises my point regarding public and Army.

Yes i have no idea what civil defense is.
I just have to do a mandatory course and get my self registered after mbbs.

You refuse to accept that army is 99% of civil defense in 99% of the world and this is nothing out of ordinary. its simply army job description. army isnt doing an extra job here

i have never heard indian army or american army/paramilitary forces bragging about civil defense..its just pak army

But they do much more then civil defense they just also do civil management
