What's new

Congratulations Iran, Rouhani and America!

my fried if india want to become great power absolutely it needs pakistan-india union in the past like mughal empire otherwise it is impossible
an India-Pakistan union wasn't part of the mughal empire lol

I kind of get what you're saying though, no doubt that normalization of relations between Ind-Pak would be massively beneficial for both nations, but the way things are currently, which is how they have been since the partition, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.. India just made a peace overture, got jihad attacked a few days later, might not have been the establishment but those jihadi groups hold big sway over Pakistani politics, 70 years of a certain poisonous narrative does something to a population..

anyway, friends with Israel, Iran, Saudia, the US, and Russia, hope those guys can sort out their troubles.. and we don't want to be any "superpower" "greatpower" or "whatehaveyoupower" .. thanks

Iran can still continue the path to become a nuclear state but i must be kept top secret otherwise Iran will be back to square one again.

It's plain stupid to think Pakistan will force these Kashmir Jihad group to close their operation when it gives them political and diplomatic support in every UN council meeting. Pakistan can only force them to cease fire if India accepts them as third party in Kashmir talks.

Iran is very strong, they are smart and they know what they want, unlike the Saudis, they could've owned the entire Middle east, Iraq, Syria, Arabistan ... but they are at war now, if they do win then they will rule the entire region. but everything is possible in war and love :)

.
man this is stupidity
building heavy water plant got sanction
resisting sanction many years even economy go to drain
then agree to shut down plants and left sanction

what was all this ? and why
I agree. Iran should have insisted on developing a nuclear weapon rather than deny it ever wanted one and pointed to Pakistan Israel India and America having them, one of these countries a neighbor and the other (US) the only state to have used a nuclear weapon.

The idea that Iran should give up its nukes reeks of western hypocrisy to me. There is no problem in having a nuke as it is a means to balance power in the region. Apparently that scares the piss out of the "brave" Americans.

However where Iran fails is its failure to build alliances. If they had they could have banked on either China or Russia to block the sanctions they have been subjected to for years. The way I see Iran signing a deal with the west is that a brave nation surrendered to American arm-wrangling. Something that has happened to many others including us Pakistanis but it was bound to happen as no other country-muslim or not came to the aid of Iran. An example of similar policy is the US are refusing to sell f16's to us. Arm wrangling is a key area of the US.

US is an arrogant nation and its arrogance will continue to rise with time. The more they are challenged the more combative they get not realising that their support for Wahabism and the creation of terrorists in Afghanistan to see a Soviet defeat are the prime causes for hatred against the US. They are the keepers of the status qou and do not want anyone or anything to break their grasp over the world. US has more than 700+ US bases or troops in various countries. They build a missile shield in Poland but don't let the Russians build a nuke site in Cuba. Hypocrisy hypocrisy and hypocrisy are the fathers, mothers and sons of America. Which is why we will cheer when US falls.

May US-India-Iran-Israel alliance prosper.
Israel and Iran are sworn enemies. What makes you think such an alliance can work?

If Pakistan could broker peace between Suadia & Iran and Turkey & China, Why can India broker peace between US-Iran and Iran-Israel ? :D

On a serious note, I will create a separate thread on the reasons.

One of the most famous slogans and changes during the revolution was "na sharghy na gharbi, jomhuri Islamic". This means " no East,no west, [only] Islamic republic ". This meant that the revolution doesn't mean to jump from the arms of one boss to the next boss.

Playing superpowers against each other is usually a strategy that fails. You lose from both sides. We experienced this a 100 years back when we tried to balance Russia and Britian? Both screwed us.

Only way Russia or China will put out their necks to defend us is if they can use us. Like allowing Russia to set up a military base on our lands.

We are not interested in that.

Personally, I think the only alliances that work are countries that are in our region, and are almost similar in terms of military strength or economy. A bloc of middle eastern countries is worth 100 times more than alliance with either Russia or USA

I hope that policy works for the better and serves Iran in the long term. What strikes me is the injustice Iran is subjected to and that also not in a clandestine, illicit way. I mean how does USA sitting on the largest nuclear arsenal and Israel being the only state in the middle east to posess nukes and Iran is not supposed to have them. This is injustice and differential treatment. An injustice is being committed against Iran and not a single country, Muslim or not chose to support Iran. I have to notice that the term neither east nor west has left Iran isolated.

Pakistan's policy has been different from Iran and the logic has been that since we cannot beat a superpower like America we have to side with them. Despite this we have suffered and are isolated.
I think Iran and Pakistan are natural allies in foreign policy. Both have been harassed by the US ad share common ties. If we can get rid of this shia sunni conflict our nations can be better positioned for snubbing the west.

I agree. The east and west, means no sides with superpowers, but alliance has to be there with like countries. A bloc of Pakistan, iran, Iraq, Turkey, etc, which super power can dictate anything to us.

The sunni-shia conflict if fake. It's just forced upon us by others. There needs to be one or two wise and charismatic leaders in our region to unite the countries, and shia-sunni conflict will be forgotten in 5 mins.

Doesnt that journey start on 25 dec? The sun is at its lowest point on 22 dec, it appears to hang there for 3 days then starts going up again.

kinda sorta....there are many variables....

The Surya Siddhanta defines Uttarāyaṇa (उत्तरायण, উত্তরায়ণ, ઉત્તરાયણ), or Uttarayan as the period between the Makara Sankranti (which currently occurs around January 14) and Karka Sankranti (which currently occurs around July 16).[1][2] The term Uttarayana is derived from two different Sanskrit words "uttara" (North) and "ayana" (movement) thus indicating a semantic of the northward movement of the Sun on the celestial sphere. This movement begins to occur a day after the winter solstice in December which occurs around 22 December and continues for a six-month period through to the summer solstice around June 21 (dates vary ). This difference is because the solstices are continually precessing at a rate of 50" / year due to the precession of the equinoxes, i.e. this difference is the difference between the sidereal and tropical zodiacs. The Surya Siddhanta bridges this difference by juxtaposing the four solstitial and equinotial points with four of the twelve boundaries of the rashis.[1]

meanwhile North Korean is building A-bombs and ICBMs  and will continue to do so.

but congrats to Iran for it's victory.

remember this: A.Q.Khan network is what smuggled stolen nuke technology to Pakistan then Libya, NK (and Iran?). The US still kept giving aid to Pakistan for years after that! I guess things are not that strictly black and white.

American objection to certain countries having nukes is nothing to do with our bravery or lack thereof. It is simply a matter of how responsible a country has shown itself to be. For example you notice with a crackpot such as Ahmedinejad there was no dialogue; when the country elected a more reasonable guy it happened.

lol, not sure if serious o_O

Anyway hope Iran-western relations will keep moving forward. It will all depends on the Mullahs not doing anything stupid these coming years.

Fat Kim is a crazy guy that doesn't give a shit about his own country/people nor his 'allies' and enemies alike. He does everything just for himself as he pleases without thinking about anything else. Reason no single country can reason with him. Its a lost cause.
