Congratulations India for Becoming a Tech Giant

. . .
I can't exactly remember the name, but at the beginning of this decade one famous journalist coined the term "IT coolies" for Indians

They are still at the same level by the end of the decade. Still ahead of Pakistan though, these coolies are bringing back huge revenues to India. We also need to work more on technology fields for our own sake. As world gets more polarized tech flow will be more restricted and we are in bad condition as it is.

Exactly, all these silly chest thumping threads would have been fine had we ourselves developed our IT, export, services industries even 10% of what they did. Its easy to poke fun at others.

India to become superpower by 2012: Kalam
Former President A P J Abdul Kalam today lauded ISRO's scientists for successfully launching the PSLV-C9 to put 10 satellites in orbit.
UDHAGAMANDALAM: Former President A P J Abdul Kalam today lauded ISRO's scientists for successfully launching the PSLV-C9 to put 10 satellites in orbit.

Besides, the Chandrayaan-I unmanned moon mission by the year end would add another feather in the country's space programme, Kalam, here to participate in a school function, said.

India has become very advanced in space technology, he said, adding the country would become a superpower by 2012.

"Though I have envisioned India to become a superpower by 2020, the attitude and the confidence of the youth, to conquer everything in the right spirit, would make the country a global leader and super power within five years," Kalam told reporters.
