According to ARY news the FIR has been lodged. A positive step but it only happened after all the protesting by thousands of people. It just shows how corrupt the system is.
There is still no guarantee any real justice will prevail. The FIR only opens the case. Any police investigation can easily be manipulated and whitewashed. If the CM himself ordered that the FIR be accepted then no doubt he will have a hand in how the investigation goes in his favour.

The whole system needs to change to eliminate this kind of tainted justice system.

In the history of Pakistan, ALL extremists politicians and the military have NEVER allowed a democratic rule to take place. This little "FIR" you are so happy about, would become a NATURAL thing to have happened if one or two more Civilian government's complete their time. In fact, a few years from now, if such a thing happens, the police would take action on its will as your democratic, judiciary and media would have become so strong that there would be strict accountability. But if you let the cycle complete.

But you guys would turn violent to bring whatever change a few thousand of you think is better for a population of 200 Million people.....all through violent and extreme politics and gun point.
