Is this list made up without doing any research? For exemple Sheyare Munawer is half sindhi and half brahui according to himself on tv interview. Not every famous karachite is muhajir.

Mostly the freeloader dirty part if migrants, who were not doing any good in India anyway decided to head to Karachi. Millions of capable Mahajirs settled in Punjab and other areas and worked hard and achieved success. Now nobody call them self mahajirs in rest of Pakistan.

I'm so appalled with the amount of racism on this thread that I had to make an account just to point it out. It's one thing to disagree with removing the quota system but it's an entirely different thing to be so blatantly racist that any argument you make is pointless because of how ignorant you come across.

If you can get past the racism that's so deeply entrenched in your psyche I'd like to hear a well thought-out and clear explanation which outlines the benefits the quota system provides.

Fact is Pakistan gave Mahajir Place to live, job, respect safety, while their brethren in India are still living in ghettos. 9 out of 10 Mahajirs came to Pakistan as a liability. Looking at the old footage of Karachi, it was the best city in whole of Asia. MQM has ruined it. Vast majority of Mahajirs that entered Pakistan stayed in Punjab and other area. Only the useless scum went directly to Karachi looking for Golden duck opportunity.

It has become golden duck due to them ... MQM had formed in 1984 ... And discrimination was going on for long ...........

Establishment and Punjabis unfortunately created MQM to marginalize muhajirs or urdu speakers and destroy Karachi.
