No one here is being pushed to give up their ethnicity or culture. And no one born here is called a "foreigner". Here in California, the most diverse state in the nation, we don't think the way you do.

And try responding to the rest of my post which you conveniently ignored. It's so sad that there are people who think like you in Sindh. It's been holding back the province for a long time, among other things.

Again, we don't force ourselves culturally on others here. We don't have quotas for the majority. We fairly allocate seats in the legislature based on correct population figures. And we don't call people with different cultures, or those from others states, "foreigners".

What your say about civil rights movements in USA form Hispanic to Italians and black Americans don't need to go they calling them muhajir or not there were injustice and were specials rules for a special groups form jobs to daily life things there were a persecutions.
Now come to Karachi how even we can compare Karachi to California NY Tokyo or other cities?
That Muhajir word gives to them by the elite from Ayub to early Bhutto era they were calling Urdu speakers as Muhajir WE labeled them first and later for poltical gain MQM pick up that word as a slogan.
They leave their lands their homes their properties and millions secrified their lives to make an independent state Pakistan, what we done? A morning we wake up and found that in world map there is a country name Pakistan, do you know how much struggle Qaid did with help of Zafrullah khan sahib to get Punjab support to even join Muslim League? Sorry to drag you in history. So what you think Urdu speakers first moved to interior Sind and when they get a job on quota system they moved back to Karachi?
Merit Sir Merit be it Sindi Muhajir Punjabi or anyone if you smart and well educated get that job not on Quota system.

Federal and provincial govts doing ping pong both pointing each other and no one solve this freakin system. What I know it's almos two years past since last date of expiry to extend it or not. Sind govt saying its federal job not our.

Quota system should end.. Sindhi love their goths, ghost employment and fake degrees from jamshoro and shah latif university, for how long we Karachiite will suffer, and when people talk about Karachi, they should keep in mind that 40% of Karachi is non Muhajir..

You cannot simply use rural backwardness as a pretext to impose quota system for over 30 years. If that is such a concern, then Sind government should take major steps to bring rural areas educationally and technologically closer to the urban parts instead of imposing a system that clearly overlooks merit in most of the cases.

• Would you like to get treated by a Doctor who is hired due to "Quota" when he got D grade in school ? or would you let a person deliver your child if they have no education from university ?

You are speaking sense to the senseless here. The ones who are advocating for Quota system are those who know they and their relatives/families cannot compete with others on merit and so quota system protects them and provides for them over and above those who are best for the job.

Quota system has destroyed the country, it has achieved its purpose of putting extremely incompetent people in extremely crucial positions and this is the reason why our private sector is in such better shape as compared to the public sector, because the cream, the top contenders don't even bother to look for a Government job as those are reserved for the extremely incompetent quota babies.
