Your ambassador knew India was going to oppose & advised the GoP of convincing India. A wise suggestion indeed - GoP should have taken India into confidence before the move as Indian interests were at stake. But as always in GoP, the India-paranoia won. As if talking to India would have been a great sin or something.
Not really! actually talking to India would not have bore any fruit. If we go by the Indian logic saying that India rejected purely on business basis and has nothing to do with anti-Pakistan sentimental, then what results would be gained by talking. GOP did the right thing.
If we want the concession we should use our own influence with the EU, if not then accept the reality and look for the alternatives.
