There is no such thing as PTA in any other country on this planet. Look at the import tax they are charging .

For people who think Pakistanis don't pay taxes, please do a little research, try studying the Pakistani Taxation laws, it may come as a surprise to you that many even the infants are paying taxes in Pakistan.

The actual real problem is institutional corruption and incompetence of FBR, the CSS babus are not the right people to serve in this department. In fact they are a mafia the reason Shabar Zaidi didn't survive long as a chairman.

We can overcome this if we had legislature who understood ABC of it.

Instead trying again and again the complicated laws go for a blanket rate, decide a threshold, classify tax payers into different classes corporates, oil and gas, non profit, education, health, telecom etc and implement with full force and conviction. For the time being we have decades old tax cases which still need to be decided.

Make Zakat the tax for individual Pakistanis.
