That is what you don't really understand.

Why would China be able to "give" us Hong Konger away? Hong Kong is part of China but Hong Kong is NOT China, we did not ask to be a part of Britain when they rule us, and we did not ask China to be a part of China since they rule us and what these Hong Konger is asking is NOT to change China, but rather keep Hong Kong as it was used to be.

We did not ask for something we don't have and ask China to give it to us, we ask for something that was guaranteed by the Chinese Government in 1984. Hong Kong have always be a free city, and that include the freedom of protest. We did not ask for anything more, just want to keep what we have.

Hong Kong is Hong Kong, China is China, and that, is the difference.

well as i see the way u people put ur demand is very wrong ... by disrupting the lives of many people and detroying the property and harming the state institutions wont help at all especially when few westerners r instigating local hong kongers to damage the chinese reputation

What's wrong about wanting to keep what we have? Actually, do you even know what are the demand of the Hong Kong Citizens?

As I said, we don't need foreign (Western or China) influence in Hong Kong, we never ask for it. And in China case, it should be exactly like this until 2047. The problem is, what people in Hong Kong see is Chinese influence start culminating in Hong Kong. That's why people go to the street and protest. We don't want anything to change, we did not ask for something new, just that.

Again, what make you think that demand is wrong?

You can dream, but that s it. Hong kong will be more and more like an ordinary Chinese city, Deng promised you 50 years, but if push comes to shove, even this can be amended.

China can of course amend the 50 years self-governing rules, if that is what you think you will win because of it.

But in reality, if you amend that, China lost all international image to the world, it would be even worse than the aftermath of Tiananmen Square Incident. China is not really that big in the world stage to begin with. Do you want China go back to the 70s where nobody in the world would listen to? And all that just because of some city called Hong Kong?

The leader of Chinese Government is not that stupid, at least, he is not as stupid as what you think.

You really dont know what you are talking about. Tiananmen incident didnt just happened in Tiananmen, it was all over China, Hong kong is only a very isolated case even neighboring Macao and Shenzhen dont give it a damn. And if China is not big in world stage, which countries are?

You are the one that don't know what you are talking about.

In Tiananmen Square, China was put in a bad spot light for heavy hand tactics used on the peaceful demonstration. The world sanction China because of that. On the other hand, China have completely lose control over Hong Kong. And if the Chinese government do what you just said, than China would not be on hook just for doing exactly the same thing they do back in 1989, China is also on hook for backing out of an international treaty. Now, tell me, which is worse?

How many alliance do the Chinese have? Even if we are talking about Eastern Bloc, we aren't really talking about China in this sense, it was the Russian. Many country see China as an ATM machine, but would they heed the call like the Western Coalition heed the call to invade Iraq and Afghanistan in 2000s? Or would Chinese "Allies" heed the call like the Russian did fighting the Mujahedeen back in 1980s?

In fact, how many country listen to China in term of global geopolitic?

Tiananmen crackdown prevented China from becoming another Soviet Uionn and paved way for China s unprecedented growth in the history, its a big win for China, not the west. As for who will listen to China, China doesnt want wars and why we ask countries to go to wars like US did? What did those wars get US, and what our peaceful policies get China in the past decades are clear to see by the world, Why should China gives up her highly successful policies for utterly failed policies of US, even Trump is withdrawing and changing their failed policies which had US milked by their so called "allies".

US couldn't even get one single Muslim countries to side with it over Muslim issues in China and China gets dozens, is this the global geopolitics you are talking about?

That's what you don't understand.

National wealth and growth have nothing to do with places in international politics. If the both have any correlation, then why country like Switzerland, Japan have absolutely no say in international Politics?

Using war as an example for the ultimate testament as to political will
of a country, how much a country exert their control in international politics if it can have other country buy into their own war and participate? China have neither the willingness and power to lead another country and all other people see is that China is nothing more than an international ATM. More like what US used to be in the 80s.

US couldn't even get one single Muslim countries to side with it over Muslim issues in China and China gets dozens, is this the global geopolitics you are talking about?

What Muslim issue? How many Muslim country was in China side in International issue such as UNCLOS? By the way, if you are talking about Uighur issue, those are NOT international issue, those are Chinese domestic issue.

And if you really believe China have more international power than US, then all I can do is just laugh. LOL

Who said China has more influence than US? You said China is not a big player in international affairs, China is just an ATM machine for other countries, but you fail to know money eventually talks, US has today's influence is also due to its wealth, if China is not a big player to start with, tell me what countries are, would you?

National wealth has every thing to do with places in international politics, start a poll here and find what people think.
