Commercial misuses of SAAB 2000 by PAF

what the hell is this we buy SAAB-2000 for these damn purpose ?




An excellent service started by Bravo club named as Air safari by Asif Lakhanvi. Bravo charters plane from PAF ( Highly professional Pilots ) with SAAB 2000 having 45 seats. It takes off from Chaklala Nur Khan base in morning time depending upon weather condition. As plane takes off, you pass over margla hills, havallian, Abbottabad and Mansehra ( view of Khan pure and Terbala dam). Then plane takes right turn and enters to Kaghan valley. You can see views of shogran, siri paya, lake safe ul muluk, Ansoo Lake, lake lallusar, lake dutti patsar then crosses Babusar Top. On your right, you can see view of killer mountain Nanga parbat & Raikot Glacier. Planes takes right turn and enters into Astore and minimarg valley ( so 270 Degre view of Nanga Parbat ). Plane approaches to Skardu town, you can see upper Kachura, lower Kachura, Satpara and Giant Deosai Plains with sheosar lake. Plane takes left turn and starts back journey and you can see Gashaburn II, Siachin Glaciers, Broad Peak, Raka poshi, K2 and others with Giant Baltoro Glaciers. Plane approaches to Gilgit town takes left turn and approaches Chilas with view of Basha Dam. Here plane enters into Kaghan valley via babusar top and you can see Kohistan beautiful mountains and view of Musa ka Musalla . Plane takes more left and you can see Muzaffarabad town. Here plane starts decending and you land at same base with ending journey of just 1:45 minutes.
Believe me,its an excellent journey, which you probably cannot see even 3 months of road travelling.
Bravo is going to start Heli safari and snow boating in chillam chowki.
Air safari costs you around 40-50 K per trip and the very professional crew of PAF will give you outclass welcome.

40-50k cost/ per person with 45 seats 40000*45 = Rs: 1.8M per flight
And i know that even if half plane is full, company is in profit and even if they share half with the Private company in 1 year PAF will earn Rs: 10M (Profit from 1 flight per month)

Now just imagine if PAF do 2 flights per week .....

jf-17 flight per 8k$ hour
mirage flight per 6k$ hour
f-7 flight per 5k$ per hour

use il-78 for hujj flights and earn billions
using already saab-2000 for safari trips
use c-130 for cargo from all over world

use trainer aircraft like mashaq and k-8 for observation and pest control
service for bomb enemy home 10k$ per bomb
service for spying your enemy 1k$ per day
service for urgent travel of fighter jets from any location charges 10k$ per hour .


and rename PAKISTAN COMMERCIAL AIRLINE/(Part time air force)

cost benefit or lose did airfoce should open shop first place ? they have own damn shaheen airline and last time they allowed shaheen air to park or air force tarmac which was illegal by CAA laws . now they are converting full scale airline by using military aircraft . we did not make PAF to earn money we want them to be a solder not businessmen

This will be a great tourist aeroplane adventure and if they can advertise it in the Gulf and the West, its going to be very successful.

PAF should next do JF-17 flights with the twin seaters.

Russia did this when their economy was down with MiG-29s. You can still do that I believe.

What %ge of defence budget provided by forces through these kind of business ? Is there any auditing from the govt ?

Sadly it's in our nature to wash the soap before hands and also look for negativity wherever the name of Pakistan appears. I just spoke to Mr Asif Lakhanvi, who was kind enough to leave the meeting he was in and attend my call and address the issue.
Basically Asif Lakhanvi is based in Holland and his family has strong defence connections with the Pakistani armed forces, amongst his other work he is also involved in supporting our troops in the Siachin sectors including supply of snow scooters.
Firstly this safari is no commercial venture, it's a dedicated club with mostly ex-service personal as members. The whole idea is to promote tourism and portray the soft image of Pakistan.
There's no commercial entity involved hence it's not as if these are daily or weekly flight tours.
Depending on the weather, currently only one tour every month is planned. It should be noted that the Scandinavian countries lease out their military transport aircraft for tourism flight which in turn pays for the maintenance of those aircraft.!!!
The PAF SAAB 2000 is not exactly suited for any defence purpose, basically it's just a transport aircraft, there are so many entrepreneurs who could have or rather should have initiated this venture to promote tourism in Pakistan however now that Mr Lakhanvi has initiated this promotion, we should thus appreciate his efforts. We should keep in mind how the Pakistan Army keenly promoted helisking earlier by using it's own helicopters and whats more, for the first tourism flight, the guy paid all the costs from his own pocket.

At least we shall be able to privatize PIA completely.

Pakistan Army has been renting its assets out for years to climbers.
The issue isnt the use of these assets so much as the funds actually going to the PAF exchequer.
