Okay sure it is disrespectful but it is still truthful. But the people of this country disrespect the flag that's what I am saying. The white part of the flag was supposed to be symbolic that minorities will get complete and equal representation. That's not the case.

Officially government of Pakistan and majority of Pakistanis understand and practice that without any bias. You can't generalize the statement based on some bad apples example. I can safely claim that Pakistans record in this aspect is better than most countries including USA.

According to Coke studio and international media logic only Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Ahmadis and other non Muslims live and dominate Pakistan. Rest of Muslim Population in Pakistan dont matter and are negligible.

The word minority means " some people want to oppress the rights of some other people". White color in the flag of Pakistan is a symbol of oppression, according to my point of view. The design of Pakistani flag should be reverted back to 1906 design.

I don't understand the people in this thread taking issue with the recent coke studio work and the message attached. It was wonderful to listen to the music of all of these people. Without coke studio, how would you hear this music?

It sure beats the usual format we've seen from an increasingly commercialised coke studio churning out more pop-oriented styles of music. We've had so many seasons of music of other sorts, what's the problem with a few videos doing something different? I don't see any political agenda here, they seem to be out in search of different styles of music from authentic sources.

From a music perspective, it's good to shift focus to more authentic sources of music, this is what makes coke studio popular in previous seasons, they weren't just creating more elaborate music videos and adding a bunch of celebrities to the cast. In my opinion, too much commercialisation can ruin music, just look at how much trash Bollywood produces in a year, it can single-handledly by blamed for ruining the Indian music scene. So this new work from coke studio is most welcome, I don't mind the minority branding either, it was a good idea.
