Saying and and doing are two different things. What is shocking is that the speed with which the assassination of Arshad Sharif took place and the method of attack on Imran Khan very much similar to the attack on Benazir Bhutto. The assassins were obviously trained in the same way by the same people.

I’d say not expect too much from current or future COAS.

Their job role is to make sure the army is prepared to fight current and future wars.

All this meeting with Arshad’s mother is not his role to begin with. For some it would look like a good will gesture, but again not his job role.

why he has say this? what he has to do with justice?

rather CJ should give such statement, then they say they are out of politics and what not.

just clean the mess within the ranks, that's what they should do and leave the rest to judiciary who then can be taken to task if justice is denied.

The case is straight forward. Arshad was executed with extreme prejudice. The heirs deserve justice. However, given the fact that Arshad's mother has appealed before court to include Gen. Bajwa (r) in the investigation, like a suspect, shows they are being used as a tool in a political game. If a particular result is sought from this investigation to further someone's political agenda, the onus of effing up this investigation won't lie with the army eventually, just like Model town.

The extreme steps to cover their tracks including character assasination of the Shaheed and those speaking up for him point towards exactly who are involved.
