CNN Rebuts Claim They ‘Staged’ a Pro-Muslim Shot During London Aftermath

I haven't commented on it, just shared stuff that's going viral online.

but I will comment now, it does seem highly stage managed, spl when you compare it to the finished product, the produced piece CNN actually put out where it looks like an organic gathering which it clearly wasn't. For if it was, they could just shoot the scene without asking people to line up with those placards and place flowers etc. If it was real they would just walk into the crowd and pan their camera around and shown the scene.

One might find the insinuation in bad taste but I'm talking purely about a news corporation, in this case, CNN, staging/faking an event that they peddled as news.

Trump was right, CNN is fake news.

LOL. it is not a "Fake" reporting. It is how reporting is done, you need to key the set and the background.

Let me tell you a true story

When I was in Iraq, I was interviewed by a local news affiliation about the progress of the battle. When I was doing the interview, I was actually taking a break, was eating my MRE and was duck behind some APC or HUMVEE (I forgot), the reporter, however, ask me to step to the side street where the soldier from our sister platoon is fighting in the background, I ask him why, they said they want to capture the fighting in the background so it get a better sound bite when we are doing the interview. I didn't ask why he wanted that.

But is that we are "Faking" the news segment? or "Faking" the war?? Simply because I wasn't actually fighting at that moment, but the thing is, had I been fighting, would I be taking the interview??

The problem you need to look at is why and how they want that, if they were faking the news, that mean the 6 Muslim lady were actually not there to protest, but if these people are there to actually send out a message, then asking them to line up or asking them to yell, holler or doing whatever is not "faking" it.

Staging for a better "Angle"? or "Soundbite"? Maybe? But was they faking the news? Well, unless these lady were not there to protest but a bystander and simply asked to raise the place card or flower? Then yesh, but if they were there to protest, then I don't see why CNN cannot ask them to line up or do anything, nor would I think they are faking it.

The story is, Muslim Mother is showing the middle finger on Terrorism, they line up these people so the background look good, that does not impact the value of the story, right?

Many live news or action news have staged background, from having beautiful girls or guys standing in front of the crowd to people acting busy. Some degree of "Staging" is used in action news, I don't see any problem with that as long as they did not impact or make up the whole story they are reporting.

I meant, what's the problem if they want good looking ladies stand in front of the camera and the normal looking one stayed in the back?? LOL

Again, it's about perspective.

The problem is that, you think these people (The Muslim Mothers) are paraded by CNN in front of the Camera for show. The problem is, how can you get the assumption by looking at a 2 minutes video clips?

The thing is, we never know if these 6 people were pushed to that, and whether or not were they Muslim to begin with. I know 2 things from the 2:20 video as a fact.

1.) There are at least 2 Cameras (One camera you saw during the whole clip and you see the front of another one in 1:42) and 2 set of different lighting (One is LED Light Board, the others is Spot light) suggested that there are 2 different camera crew on scene, which mean at least 2 outlet.

2.) There are also other people with professional photographer equipment on scene, meaning they could be photo journalist. Also onlooker on scenes. Meaning this is an open set. Bear in mind, all these people (The Muslim Mother and Becky Anderson) are BEHIND police cordon. I am pretty sure if I were to fake a news scene, I would do so in a closed environment. but not allowing anyone to film me "Faking" it. And if I am already able to do them inside the Police Cordon, why not set up at some place without the public??

These 2 facts and observation put together, and I don't see why this news can be "fake", yes the CNN people move those people behind the camera to make it look good, but I do believe these people are there to genuinely to protest the terrorist attack. Number may be small, but still, they were there and the Police simply let them into the cordon

Again, the same thing happens when I was interviewed in Iraq, I wasn't fighting at that time, I was taking a break, just because the journo ask me to go to where people are shooting and ask me to look "Combat-y" does not mean they are faking the story......
