A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) aircraft crash landed along the Kuala Selangor coastline around 8.50am today. The CN235 transport plane, based in Subang, was carrying eight people. All eight on board were reported safe, after being assisted by local fishermen, said RMAF in a statement today.
It said the RMAF will establish an investigation team to identify the cause of the incident. "The RMAF will also conduct recovery efforts for the aircraft," it said. Kuala Selangor police had earlier said that the plane was a light aircraft and that it had crashed along the Kuala Selangor coastline. The Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 8.40am.
