Its range is more than 240km, you need to know that an enemy ship will be there to attack. Look-down range of any radar will be lesser than a2a mode.



Does it have more than 150 km range in look down mode?

Pardon to be critical: Why should a model on display at an airshow be rated as proof for a certain system already being in service?

Its a proof of integration. I think it is not in service but will be made available on immediate request in case of war just like we received 100 PL15 immediately after 27th feb on very short notice

even if its a model . why would Pakistan put it beside Pakistani JF-17 Thunder plane ?

if you say thats because JF-17 is a joint fighter and it can fire CM-400AKG then there are bunch of different missiles in Chinese inventory that JF-17 could fire why arnt they put beside it ?

Surely not, just look on how many fancy weapons are all laid out in front of so many fighters at Paris!

However I would agree that it is already integrated and eventually also already in service even if we don't have an image of an operational JF-17 armed with this missile.

My point is simply that a weapon model in front of an aircraft at an air show is barely proof.

To market it as a unique, very special and IMO very capable AShBM ... but it is not a proof.
Just look, what many different weapons we've seen laying in front of the JH-7A and H-6K at Zhuhai in 2016??... several of them were concepts, stores on offer for export but never seen in PLAAF service ... are they all integrated??
