Any comments on this part from Pakistanis or those with knowledge about the situation?

Curious myself. Not sure whether the military wants to kick out the US from Afghanistan in the same way it did with the Soviet Union. Back then, Pakistan was the front line state backed by 119 other countries who supported the war effort overtly and covertly.

Maybe something similar will unfold in Afghanistan again but this time against the US occupation. If true, most likely Pakistan must be receiving some major backing from Russia, China, Iran and Turkey at least.
