CJP to get International Jurist Award 2012​

KARACHI: The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will be given the prestigious International Jurist Award 2012 in May, in recognition to his unmatched role towards dispensation of justice, Geo News reported on Saturday.

The International Jurist Association will confer the Award on Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in London on May 28, sources said.

Rt Lord Phillips, President of Supreme Court of the United Kingdom will present the Award to Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in the presence of legal experts, professors, members of parliament, and journalists invited to the ceremony from various parts of the world.

A very unfair post.
looking at ur accustion, I am wondering if u even know about Pakistan.
He has tried his level best to upgrade the credibiltiy of Pakistan's Suprem Court in even such a discouraging political situation.

no doubt that the example set by ch iftikhar by being defiant against a military dictator rose Pakistan's stature in the whole world community... he has set the most rare example in the world and will be remembered and quoted even after centuries or probably thousands of centuries...

although i do agree that the courts didnot deliver as per expectations, but no one should deny that because of ch iftikhar the judiciary is put on the right track..
