ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa on Saturday called it an unfortunate situation that the improvement of judicial system was not on the parliament’s list of priorities as recommendations and amendments were not tabled in the parliament for improvement in judicial policy.

He addressed an event in Islamabad and asserted that the model courts are established – in light of the recommendations of the National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee – for expeditious and inexpensive trial of cases.

He maintained that every possible effort was being made to adjudicate pending cases as soon as possible.

“Police must immediately investigate a case, and submit its challan. Under judicial policy, cases would proceed under time-bound criminal trial regimen,

“Provision of justice can be made easier if time is set for cases to be wrapped up,” he said.

“If, for any reason, a case could not be prosecuted, then its alternative would be presented,” he maintained.

He claimed that the model courts are established with an aim to remove obstacles that cause delays in proceeding of cases.

Keep throwing balls into other's courts and never clean your own mess :(
Main Issue is our Constitution. I already said , it is complicated, lengthly, and legaslative, and judiciary under it working are in state of confusion due to this.

That's another issue but what about judicial reforms, corrupt judges and staff in the courts, what is the criteria of judges being promoted and selected. How NS got bail from his court? this has nothing to do with constitution.. that's purely court's fault

Whatever little credibility, this Khosa earned, in Panama case verdict, has lost it in his last decision to give bail to NS. These people have an enormous capacity to bark and bark, but not to bite, when it comes to the mega thugs and scoundrels of this country.

Wasn’t Nawas Sharif close to death’s door only recently? It was in the European press that he was gravely ill. But now he is released he is back on his feet so quickly?

It is an advert for brazen corruption!

I agree. I had very high opinion of him and I was really happy when he assumed the CJP office. But he turned out to be another disappointment and now I believe that this system especially judiciary is total failure and we need to dismantle it and build institutions from the ground up.

Thanks. Let us hope for good. Anyway, if I may request you to change the statement in your "Signature", to the extent of the word "laanat", which is too harsh.

How it Possible

  • Mariyam nawaz performing forgery and submitting fake documents is walking free as a free women
  • How is Shabaz sharif after causing billion dollar loses to Pakistan by failed power plant projects is walking free
  • Where is Issac Dar ?
  • Where are Money Laundering cases against Zardari and Faryal Talpoor?
  • Why is Shabaz sharif walking around with a bail ? and not in Prison
  • Where is the Sindh Assembly speaker whose home revealed billions in money and gold?
  • Why is Nawaz Sharif out of Jail ?

There should be a 2 week limit to start / end a case

Most of the parlimanterians are busy saving their ill gotten wealth (which in previous terms they earned), legaslation for the people of Pakistan are low on their priority.

What he's saying is PTI has no interest in judicial reforms that were a part of their election agenda and promises.

A moment of shame for PTI when the corrupt judiciary criticises them for not doing anything about reforming judiciary.

But then again, PTI never has any interest in reforms otherwise we would've seen one bill passed in assembly or an attempt at passing one bill. Instead we get the age old excuse that PTI doesn't have majority.

Remember PTI has absolute majority in KPK, they can pass any bill they want and make Naya KPK
