This is Iconic... General Nadeem belongs to a Shia background and King Suleman is the sovereign of a predominantly Wahabi country. This shows that how the geo politics works. its way beyond sectarian and religious affilations now. It also shows that rivalry between Iran and Saudia is primarily based on historical and ethnic fault lines instead of sect.

.
Its sectarian in nature. Otherwise explain Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Bahrain conflict to me. This historic enmity is hogwash and myth. Had Iranians not forcefully been converted to Shiasim by their shia Turk overlords in 17th century then non of this would have been a issue.
Its about politics, power and influence.

. .
Any arguments to fuel or incite sectarian debate will be taken down along with the account in due course as well. Hope that there wouldn't be need of further reminders at all. For the proclaimed geniuses, don't mind as I don't tend any offense; we all can do better than mere sectarian mudslinging. We should consider the same as a reason for the miserable affairs at some points where we are needed to rise above than usual but fails.

Regards,

It is nice to see that no matter how many times, Pakistani COAS is always given an access to meet the Saudi king.

the world has changed now. Yes religion and sect is being used. beoz every side will grab on to local support in these conflict ridden countries, but the rivalry is deep rooted. it goes back to sassanid and arab rivalry. and now it is more of a geo political necessity to use religion, to hire proxies for vested interests of both sides. (example. Iraq and Iran both have shia majority but they are at logger heads, becoz religion/sect is used only to fool the masses, the real objective is power, influence, oil, economy, trade and so on)

The CJCSC is there representing Pakistan, not Tehreek Fiqh-Jafferia.

Countless Pakistani shia officers have served in KSA on deputations and have no qualms about it.

Nuclear employment, multi-national exercises, training deputations, engagements etc. all involve the JCSC.
