Cinemas to lift ban on Indian films from Monday

Baap bada na Bhaiya sabse bada rupaiya ... and Cinema owners are pure businessmen they want return of their hefty investments ..... I am sure in big cities of Pakistan they have same posh cinemas the owners invested money to get returns and if they find India movies as one way to get more people in Cinemas then they are allowing Indian movies.

Personally I am against sending the Pakistani actors back , if they are on work permit then Its Indian govt responsibility to give them proper security .
Just simple as , people want to see their heroes Sharukh khan, Amir khan, and others on big screen.
People rejected home made films, few said lollywood is bad quality, while few other raised issue it is against Islam. We didn't promote home film industry.
Now,Cinemas will show what our public want to see

It is you , you blame every new leader of Pakistan, there is something wrong in mentality or you can't digest somebody success and it includes people whom you supported in past. Be man with big heart

.
Its business stupid. A flurry of Pakistani movies was released off late but NONE could do any amount of respectable business. A cinema owner needs filled halls at the end of the day. Patriotism prevails till the belly is full. Its ironic but only obvious that stomach prevails over everything and existence triumphs.

Well there has to be a complete BAN on indian product (Cable , Cassette if any, Cinema) and the demand will self create

It is responsibility of the Minister of Arts & Movies to ensure ample budget goes into Promoting our own Movie industry

It is a Psychalogical weapon , when your country watches Indian actors and these actors openly support vilolence in Kashmir, how many of these ugly mofo , have ever visited Pakistan ?

If India is killing soldiers on LOC and killing villagers and comitting genocide in Kashmir , it is quite Pathetic that Indian movies would be shown in Pakistani Land

If a Country has no budget for Movie Industry and for making movie manufacturing , the Cinema should either invest in importing movies from USA or Hong Kong / Turkey or Iran/Egypt or find out of box solution.

Find it disgusting the thought of playing enemy's movies in Pakistan

Own movie industry will thrive on good talent, model turned actors have clearly failed to bring interest forward. Pakistani movies can only go as far as occupying the low-price silver screens (shared with third grade Indian/English Movies). Gold and Platinum are mostly occupied by Indian/English movies. So, If you really believe in what you're saying, start taking your family and kins to watch Pakistani movies.

Titli song was watched more than 19 million times and positive comments from all over world arab,africans,latins..u name it

.
Well if I were to take anyone it would be to a Hollywood movie in Pakistan
300 Million budget for movie really that is where I would take my family to go watch a good movie

Even would watch Japanese animation on large screen amazing 20-40 minute entertainment or a nice family Disney movie , fantastic entertainment

The issue of Paksitan's own movie Industry , the industry will self correct but requires funding in three sector

a) Music production
b) Movie production and packaging
c) Marketing

The actors play a small part but over time public adopts to people they are familiar with from Drama and accept them as actors

Its a Sector , an industry that needs Funding / Investment

A work of producer / writer or Actor has to gain recognition and acceptance in General Media and public audience before public goes to watch their shows

Pakistani news papers and tabloids are always promoting Enemy India's actors openly on daily news paper (free marketing) so obviously people who read newspaper daily are more aware of these names ? !

That is why I say , if you can't make movies by your own funding just buy International Movies
and display them?

Why do you have to like Thook ke chat liya , with India

The whole country is being brain washed by

a) Indian made commercials
b) Indian movie sector news on daily news paper
c) Free publicity of Indian material in channels (that are Pakistani channels) , the public starts to believe the idea these actors are their representatives (when they are not)

Why don't the Government Introduce law on all these "CHANNELS" that are suppose to be trend bearers to make at least 4-5 movies a year or sponsor such projects yearly to retain their licence ?

  • We have 50 channels , and if each channel makes 5 movies a year that is 250 Movies per year for Pakistani with Pakistani actors. Every country in world have laws that clearly state a channel will maintain certain % of content it delivers , you can't have all channels 100% news and TABSARA bazi. They all must have some % programming for Movies and Drama (Qouta System they must maintain) to retain their licence for broadcasting

When 250 movies are being made in country , then yes you can host a movie award program
and generally people will develop a sense of connectivity with actors and their performance
and this will create jobs in writing , dialogue or script plat etc

But there must be a policy to make 250 movies ? !

Like why have to recieved a licence to broadcast if you will not sponsor movies /drams or shows for Cinema ?

It is a full fledged psychalogical ware fare , while folks getting influenced feel things are normal between two nations while their PM is openly engaged in operation in Baluchistan and Terrorism in Pakistan

Really tomorrow or today , lift any Pakistani News paper , and go to entertainment section whose news you will find in the entertainment section ?

Pakistani Actors or Enemy state actors ?

Problem is not public for not coming to watch movies , the problem is the mechnism and the system in place that promotes Enemy state actors daily (every single day coverage) , if an actor farts the news comes out in our newspaper

how many Pakistani films are shown in india? none i bet because and cinemas have been burnt down that tried to show it!!! there is absolutely no incentive to develop the film industry in Pakistan. BUT does every Pakistani go to the cinema? I highly doubt it and furthermore only people can be the effective force by not purchasing the cinema ticket.

so create awareness for public that will prevent them from watching Indian cinema effective campaigning can work

Cinemas to lift ban on Indian films from Monday

LAHORE:
Pakistani cinema owners are all set to lift the self-imposed ban on Indian films.

Speaking to The Express Tribune on Saturday, Chairman Film Exhibitors Association Zoraiz Lashari confirmed that cinema owners would begin screening Indian films across Pakistan from December 19 (Monday). “The cinema business has been hit immensely and all stakeholders felt it was the right time to begin screening Indian films. It was always a self-imposed suspension, not a ban. So I’ll be releasing Freaky Ali in our cinemas and other cinema owners will follow suit,” said Lashari

Meanwhile, an owner of a film distributing company, requesting anonymity, said the move was to pave way for a big release by a private media group in the country. “A big media group and film exhibitors and distributors in India are trying to release Dangal in Pakistan. They are testing public sentiments and also the government’s reaction by releasing Freaky Ali at CineStar cinema,” he added.

He went on to add how stakeholders in India were also being hit by the self-imposed ban. “We will first test waters with these unreleased films and then begin negotiations with Indian distributors to continue the import of movies into Pakistan,” he added.

“Our cinemas have already started firing people. Even Super Cinemas let 30 people go. Bollywood films drew 70% to 80% of our audience. So, without them, you have seen how Pakistani and Hollywood films have performed on the box office. The fact that Pakistani films have been subpar has also made people lose faith in Pakistani cinema,” Khorem Goltesab of Super Cinemas told The Express Tribune.

“Star Wars just released and it has only 20% to 30% occupancy, because Bollywood films kept the audience connected to the cinemas. For the last five years, this is what we have been working towards and now in the last two months, it has been spoiled,” he added.

I think it is not in the hands of cinemas, everywhere in the world such things are controlled by someone else.
