CIA says it gets its money's worth from the ISI

I dont think India is a threat to Pakistan unless Pakistan trys to grab Kashmier,,,,,but what I wonder about is how Pakistan thinks they could take on India with 4 times population, economy and military when they cant even defeat a backward premitive group like the Taliban.

Using your line of logic, what does that say about the worlds most economically, militarily and technologically advanced nations (NATO) not being able to defeat a 'backward, primitive group like the Taliban'?

As for India not being a threat to Pakistan unless Pakistan tries to grab Kashmir (which is disputed territory, not Indian territory, per the UNSC resolutions which call for the people of Kashmir to vote in a plebiscite to determine which state they wish to be a part of, UNSC resolutions India is willfully violating), Indian aggression in 1971 in East Pakistan and in 1984 in Siachen were unprovoked and cannot be ignored as a potential future threat.

In any case, if India is not a threat, then India should reduce its forces along the IB and LoC, to allow Pakistan to dedicate more of its resources in the West, since Pakistan will obviously not be able to attack India or Kashmir while it has significant resources in the Western theater.

But U.S. officials have continued the funding because the ISI's assistance is considered crucial: Almost every major terrorist plot this decade has originated in Pakistan's tribal belt, where ISI informant networks are a primary source of intelligence.

The White House National Security Council has "this debate every year," said a former high-ranking U.S. intelligence official involved in the discussions. Like others, the official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject. Despite deep misgivings about the ISI, the official said, "there was no other game in town."
The key point is, "there is no other game in town". That tells us a great deal about who is manipulating whom. Pakistan is no banana republic or vassal state; instead, it is the mouse that roars and grabs the U.S. by the balls, getting the world's most powerful democracy to dance to Pakistan's bidding, as U.S. intel officers are essentially kept prisoners by their Pakistani "allies".

No wonder Congress wants to create more options in its latest Pakistan aid bill.

Poor America. It can only afford to spend $1 million per year on each of it's soldiers. :frown:
