Christian student perishes of gruesome torture by police

Imo, his classmates probably tried to convert him nicely,

In my honest opinion (if this conversion story is true) ..... his class fellows held no moral authority to convert him nicely or by stick, they attend the schools and colleges to get themselves educated and not convert every other non Muslim they meet.

Would it be surprising, though?

Don't know about Punjab or interior Punjab ............. Frankly speaking (no offense intended) people from Punjab tend to have extremist views compared to rest of Pakistan..... irrespective of their religion sect etc, you will notice a remarkable difference between a Christian from Karachi and a Christian from interior Punjab .......

The causes might be the lack of the education and extreme poverty. Blood, is never, dirty, on its own. If he was tried to be converted peacefully or politely and he refused. That is by itself, equal to blasphemy, for someone. Refusal to believe in the true religion (even though the religion explicitly mention no compulsion in it and whoever chooses to believe in it, should do so by his/her own liking since the right path has become distinguished from the wrong path), don't you think?

When they start paying Jizya, then they can complain.

They pay taxes, I believe. Hence, they can complain, to their heart's liking. Just like you a Muslim, living in Britain, a secular constitutional monarchy, would be within your right, to criticize your country. Specially, knowing that most of the story, minus the usual little exaggeration, is most probably true.

What is this hypocrisy, in you guys, though? You, live in secular liberal lands, practicing your religion freely and without any compulsion, demanding more and more rights and even that your interpretation of religious law, be enacted in a country which doesn't identity with any particular religion and yet choose to deny the same (if only in your words) to minorities living in your native lands. I have been long meaning to ask somebody like you, how does it work?

and India is ranked number 4 in rape crimes and considered to be the most dangerous country for women of any caste, creed and or religion, specially white tourist women your country loves raping those.

https://www.wonderslist.com/10-countries-highest-rape-crime/

India = 20% of the world population obviously we will have high of everything in numbers , this is the reason China never revels its crime data , even though they execute 8x more criminals then india.

FYI even with our massive population gap , Pakistan is ranked more dangerous to women than India.

To my dear countrymen.

See, the topic of the thread is the death of a boy from a minority in this country. Bringing in America or India, would only serve to reinforce the fact that you guys, even if deep inside you and in a little dark damp corner of your mind, know the story to be true and therefore are attempting to divert people, from it, by bringing in something similar but irrelevant. Denying it, would only put "you" and you yourself at ease though temporarily, while showing to the world that since you aren't ready to deal with the problem. You find it more easy to deny that it ever happened. And what does it matter who posted it and what his/her beliefs or views are? Even if Lucifer himself posts it on PDF, would it change the fact that a young boy has died in highly disgusting circumstances?

You represent your country on the world wide web, beware and proceed with caution. :pakistan:

I cannot deny the latter part of your statement at all ......... it is clearly mentioned in Quran, no two views about it. There is no blasphemy if one doesn't believe even after the right from wrong has been distinguished, there is no punishment for apostasy, that too is clearly mentioned.

My only contention is the source of this news, I feel that, it somehow added lines related to conversion to make it sound more legitimate. There is more to this story ........ it can be a usual case of blasphemy and all agreed but putting too much focus on that it was all about converting a young school boy ........ well doesn't sound right to me.

Poverty is a death sentence in an uncontrolled capitalist democracy.

A powerful lawyer slapped the police silly last week during anti corruption proceedings in the court.

So this kind of news should not come as much of a surprise. This will atleast get some attention from the outside media otherwise each day minors get killed at work or by torture.

The problem has nothing to do with religion but law enforcement to the spirit of the law.

It is illogical to deny it, not because it is mentioned in the Holy-book, but because it is only rational to let people decide for themselves. Whatever they consider is the truth.

If you and I were to look for it, a better source can be found. The doubt isn't whether the boy died on blasphemy charges, that much I think, is certain. What preceded is it, is the question. But the answer to it, might not be worth anything. Someone really has died.

So ironic, wasn't it? I really laughed for a minute or two Lol

The book is here to make us rational and logical people. Otherwise a human child left in wild will grow feral, humanity has been guided gradually on how to act as human. It is upon us whether to accept and practice the clear message or start interpreting it in the most complicated way to sell our manjan.

Pakistani police torturing someone to convert ...... is the funniest thing I would say. They can humiliate you, torture you for a ten rupee note ..... only.

A young Pakistani boy died in an insensitive society ......... at hands of Pakistani thug police. That is all I can think of this news .......... its not as if it would have been any different if it was some other poor Pakistani. I want to discuss the true Pakistani problem without attributing it to be a problem for one class of people only.

Occam's razor.

The simplest explanations are usually the best. Almost all of the times, a third party is not needed to read and understand. But then comes ignorance, even from the most highly educated people.

Of course not! That would be hilarious for a bunch of guys, who don't even know what their actual work is. But on blasphemy charges, its more than possible, I believe. And since it has happened in the past, it is more than a good indicator, of what can happen in the future.
