A 54-year-old Christian priest from Chennai was found dead with his head smashed with a boulder on the four-lane road near here today,police said. The priest, Wilson, was on his way to Madurai from Tuticorin on a two-wheeler when he was attacked by unidentified men, sources said. Some materials in his bag was found scattered near the body. His two-wheeler was found 150 feet from where the body was found, police said. Police suspect that the priest would have resisted the attempts to rob him and tried to escape on foot. I though Minorities in India were safe ?

Well if someone from majority gets killed will you say majority is not safe in India? Dude there is absolute no group majority or minority that can say they are 100% safe, also there is not guarantee anywhere in the world that religious killing will not happen. This cannot be done because there will always be some extremist in the society as long as religion exist.

What matters is how much of a problem the minority community feels in living in India, do they feel threatened everyday or they live normal life but do face some odd incident. If there are odd incidences than we can say they are relatively safer.

There are no absolute safety, that thing does not exist.

I though Minorities in India were safe ?

Minorities aren't safe in TN we use to kill/ rape them on daily basis just for fun. TN is a hell for minorities so don't post news wic is quite obvious.

Unfortunate indeed. Still I say, nowhere in the world are minorities treated better than India.
When 90% of the population sees each other as equals, that is still more than 1000000000 human beings living in absolute spiritual harmony. For the remaining 100,000 or so, we have to wait till they improve themselves while we can only encourage not force.
Even in nature we cannot expect 100% returns on every harvest.
