Christian forum slams RSS for remarks on Church-Maoist nexus

Perhaps you are unaware of all the church funded NGOs that have been blacklisted or have had their licenses suspended or cancelled. Perhaps you are unaware of the role of the church in Tamil Nadu fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters and creating bad blood between India and Sri Lanka. Perhaps you are unaware of the Baptist church in North East funding militancy there. Just a few examples.

Controversial links with militant outfit[edit]
The regional government has accused it of lending support to separatist NLFT terrorists.[10]

The Government of Tripura uncovered evidence asserting that the Baptist Church in Tripura has been helping Tripuri militants, such as the NLFT in the state. The NLFT militants, who are involved in armed struggle for the independence of Tripura, and the creation of a "Christian state",[11] have been forcing local tribals to convert to Christianity at gunpoint and threatening to murder participants in Hindu festivals.[10][12][13] It is believed that as many as 5,000 tribal villagers were converted in this fashion over two years.[12] These forcible conversions to Christianity, sometimes including the use of "rape as a means of intimidation," have also been noted by academics outside of India.[14]

The Government has accused the Baptist Church of Tripura of supporting this violent campaign of NLFT by providing funding and arms for the group. In April 2000, Nagmanlal Halam, Secretary of the Noapara Baptist Church in Tripura, was caught with a large quantity of explosives which were meant for the group. Halam later confessed to buying and supplying explosives to the NLFT for the past two years. Another church official, Jatna Koloi, was arrested in south Tripura in April 2000. According to the State Police, Mr Koloi had received training in guerrilla warfare at an NLFT base in 1999.[10]

Perhaps you are not acquainted with Christians of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. I had a different view of Christians and Christianity when I was in Mumbai and had plenty of Goan Christians around and the view changed drastically when I moved to Bangalore and got acquainted with Kerala and AP Christians.

I don't hate you, but yeah I do not think positively about Christianity. Just like Islam I believe it is a political ideology masquerading as a religion. History is replete with proofs about that. There are many Christians on this forum itself I would gladly fight along and would trust them to cover my back should there be a need. Acid Rain, HolySaturn, come to mind. If you think I am peddling cock and bull stories move along, u are just being one of those Christians with their head stuck up their bums.

"If LTTE and Indian fishermen were partners in crime is it possible that the relationship continues given that LTTE entire ground force has not been eliminated and the masterminds that ran the show still remain at large. We then come to the contentious issue of who these fishermen are. Virtually all of the Indian fishermen are Catholic (born or converted). It is no understatement to say that virtually the entire Southern belt of India has now been successfully converted and explains why there is an undercurrent in linking LTTE eelam project to the Church and many in India have not minced words to say that the entire LTTE Eelam project is funded by the Church and has nothing to do with creating an eelam for Hindu Tamils and this certainly is and should be open for debate. The Church maintains stoic silence on both Emmanuel and whether fishermen issue is choreographed by them but used conveniently by the Indian Government to coerce Sri Lanka’s knowing that Sri Lanka’s foreign ministry lacks the courage to defend the nation other than issuing half-hearted statements to gain distinction in English eloquence!

This aspect of the argument and the fishermen issue itself generates interest for the parties spearheading the international Tamil diaspora movement are all linked to Western Christian states and the LTTE-fronts come under Father S J V Emmanuel and his Global Tamil Forum and the Church has taken absolutely no action against Father Emmanuel or numerous other priests who had been associated with the LTTE over the years and continue to have links with the remnants.

Given this scenario we can maybe wonder whether there is a remote possibility that the fishermen incursions are perhaps directed and choreographed to create tension between the Indians and the Sri Lankan military and Government. But, surely India known to have first trained and launched Tamil militancy covertly would be well aware if such conniving was taking place and would apprise Sri Lanka’s counterparts of the devious plans by external forces and at least provide GPS tracking systems for the Indian vessels. Well, India’s diplomats would do that if they ran diplomacy with sincerity but a nation that put Kao plan clandestinely without any provocation from Sri Lanka cannot expect Sri Lanka to be too trusting of India’s sincerity especially when India without batting an eyelid endorsed not once but twice the US resolutions against Sri Lanka in Geneva.

The security forces believe it was the Christian convert Sikhs who tore and scattered the pages of GGS to create communal disturbance in Punjab.

Abstract
Although armed groups and political violence referring to Islam have attracted increasing attention since the start of the global war against terror, one particular religion can hardly be described as the main source of inspiration of what is commonly referred to as “terrorist acts of violence.” Faith-based violence occurs in different parts of the world and its perpetrators adhere to all major world faiths including Christianity. As such, this article treats three cases of non-state armed actors that explain their actions as being motivated by Christian beliefs and aimed at the creation of a new local society that is guided by religion: the National Liberation Front of Tripura, the Lord's Resistance Army, and the Ambonese Christian militias. It analyzes the way by which they instrumentalized religion against respective backgrounds of conflict rooted in social change, the erosion of traditional identities, imbalances of power, and widening communautarian faultlines.
