Well the issue of Israel is 99% Religious from US Christians perspective which is why the veto in UN from the USA most of time, as it is wrong to not support Israel from a Religious perspective (as it is preached in the USA). Primarily this is the view spread in various churches across USA
While this was not mainstream view in medieval times, in last 100 years or more closely last 40 years this view has been spread that Jesus will come if Israel is
"UNCONDITIONALLY" supported, this is pretty much a fundamentalist view to look the other way even if Israel commits war crimes or genocide. Of course for Fundamentalist Christians this is a quick ticket to Heaven
During the early days of Christianity, Jewish migrants were generally seen in a negative light, so Jews used to migrate to Muslim land in order to have refuge this went on for 1000-1500 years
The European view is a bit different on Israel / Palestine for any Pakistani this is a shock because the school of thought is different in Europe and USA
Today , fundamentalist Jewish lobby controls Hollywood, News Agencies and now the Internet
Palestinians are more and more shown as "Militants" and aggressors
The rhetoric is repeated for Muslims in general even if a car's tire has puncture or flat a news comes up blaming it on some Muslim guy
Trump's ban on 7-8 Muslim countries is part of that storytelling back home in USA to convince people Muslims are militants
When I was first exposed to realities of Religious fanatics support for Israel I was bit shocked as this view is not really talked about in any Arab country's news channels or even openly discussed in Pakistani TV channels
It is well known also that Israel support groups are heavily present in White house at various inner circles
The hate for the Iranian government is 99% because Iranians don't take orders from outside
Muslim nations, in general, are under an illusion that USA is a dependable broker on Muslim matters
- Why does Obama announce a massive 2-3 Billion Grant to Israel for 10-15 years?
- Why are the top Weapons first supplied to Israel ?
- Why is there no talk about Israel's Nuclear program
- Why are settlements allowed on Palestinian land ?
- Why are resolutions condemning Israel vetoed in UN?
The answer for the blind support is , mix of Religion/fanaticism and bias
The Settlements which were constructed in Palestine between 2000-Present are all built with USA's grant
"If you (Christian fundamentalist) give donation/grant to Israel , Jesus, after he comes, will forgive all you sins"
This is pretty much the core issue
**With the above-mentioned item there has been support for Palestine in certain groups (USA)/ population but their voices are normally not heard due to censorship or just lack of support given. There is always debate about it in Academic circles
However, 95% US population is not in the academic background they just view the TV channel and what is reported they believe it
When AlJazeera first had opened their channel in USA their was a massive uproar on the availability of alternative news I believe at one point AlJazeera had announced they would close their USA network while keeping their international reporting
- Peace can only come when there is "even perspective" and no bias
**Historic view is that Muslims lived with Jews for 1000 years however the modern age views of last 40 years have damaged the understanding the idea to force Palestinians to live in prison, and segregation is not a natural view how the two groups had lived side by side
