Honestly this could be prevented if better security measures are taken in mosques in western countries especially. I get its expensive but if I ran a mosque I would have everyone that came in made to use a metal detector as well as an armored booth where a security guard can sit with a firing port and be protected from gunfire while if the need be engaging the shooter. To lax when it comes to security considering how dangerous this is to the muslim world.

Its New Zealand. The rarely deal with violent crime compared to other nations and even if they had come, most of the people inside would have been killed because the majority were dead by 4-5 minutes which is the average response time even here in the U.S.

Trust me security is too lax in most mosques. A local mosque near me has armed security in the building at all time with locked front doors that have to be opened by the security guard. That's what you call good security. Also, cameras cover all the entrances so you will be seen carrying guns.
